    I had a neighbor that trapped tree rats and brought them here, greys reds flying, though I see only reds now maybe the hawks took care of the greys and flying rats.

    My google says P. subaeruginosa are hallucinogenic.
    I have to trust others to pick my fungus. I'd probably pick one that turns me inside out.

    They have very similar characteristics to a few other magic mushies found in a few different places. Their season is coming to an end here in most places but now we get golden tops, P. cubensis, after the first frosts.

    Curious they are all pretty much the same size and shape. Caps I've seen vary quite a bit in size.
    I found similar blue/green mushrooms growing on the root of an oak tree at the Alamo.

    Dare I say it, the shotgun and my 2 ratties keep them away from the house, the pear and apple trees is another story I wont get any fruit from either again this year.
