You're prolly right. Those little puff balls got at least 6 weeks to go, and if they're already starving...
But you're totally right about solo cup growing being a great way to see things happen that we've only read about. I think whatever you learn from getting this little girl across the finish line will pay off in spades in your next BIG grow.

Shit. That’s like saying look at that ugly baby....there’s no ugly babies... your good. Especially nice color

The deed is done. My first do was stuffing soil between ball and cup. No Bueno. Every watering was a five minute soak in nutes, as you suggested. The seed was bagseed and I imagine a tall sort.
I'll probably try again for kicks with Ice Cream seeds. They're supposed to be great for a SOG.

That really is a pretty plant.... if I had seen it in a nursery, I’d buy it

When we started this competition I figured the plant would get root bound so I used a small plant seed ,but after seeing what others have grown I wish I had used a different strain we are close to the end of it you could fill in the sides of the cup and feed it like it was in coco, water everyday or twice a day that should get her to the finish line , I would also set the cup in some nutrient solution and let her soak it all up otherwise when you feed her it will just pass right though the cup , I know you know all this stuff but I thought you could use a reminder lol good luck

Damn john, great work! They are solid buds from the bottom of the cup up!

day 69 for the solo cup plants. Plan on harvesting the 3BearsOG this weekend plenty of amber showing and she sure looks good for such a small plant. Now I want to grow one in a larger container for sure. smells real strong. The Beary Whitex3Bog, the twin towers is also looking close to ready. She may get chopped at the same time.
Walter White is showing some stresses but with only a couple to 3 weeks left she should finish alright.

That's an option. I've had approval to keep the two cups. A transplant would cancel me out but give me more roots and a better plant. I can leave the plants in their cups and they will die. Vertical cuts would be tricky. Since the plants are growing inverted through a hole in the bottom of the cup, I would have to remove the cup altogether or just cut straight through the cup.
I don't see an option. More roots will mean more root bound. Damnit. G is getting transplanted. More lamentation about E.C.

It doesn't show, but the small plant is in half a solo cup. Just as bound up as the full size solo. At least put vertical slits.

I think the second will either make your plant deceased or stunted if it comes back.
