SoOrbudgal got me thinking the other day, when she mentioned we were lucky to grow 12 plants here in Michigan. What are your laws and how do you plan your grows within the law?
With a 12 plant limit, I have 4 plants dedicated to a continuous grow, (seed/early veg, late veg, early flower, late flower). Interval time is based on flowering time of the maturing plants.
First stage is in the nursery box with other plants; second stage I can either fit 4, 2.5-gallon pots or one 15-gallon pot -- this is where I decide to grow 1 large plant, or 4 smaller ones, then on to the 2'x4' box for early and late flowering.
That gives me enough for personal use, and gifting to my friends.
The other 8 plants I'm allowed I plan to use for breeding and experimenting, like the 2020 cup challenge.
At the moment I have a very sticky Amnesia Trance (AMS) that's about 6/10 weeks into flowering that is by itself (with a divider to contain heat/light) in the 2x4 box, a manifolded White Widow Extreme (AMS), that's about 10-14 days away from flipping in the late-veg box. Then a White Widow and a Big Bud (AMS) in the nursery, both of which are for the contest. Over in the breeder box I have three female Wide Widow Extreme plants from non-feminized seed, where I thought I'd get at least one male but I didn't so now one will get the silver treatment.
I bought the Big Bud for the cup challenge, since that looked like a beauty contest. They grow real short, so I'm thinking about taking the 4 remaining seeds, growing to maturity in the 2.5-gallon, not doing any training and see if I get 4 giant colas. That would give me 11 plants in the system.
