All four girls were topped this morning. I removed the 1st and 4th nodes leaving nodes 2 and 3. One of the Peyote Gorilla is showing a mutation that I’m looking forward to growing out. It is naturally growing out 4 growth tips from the 2nd node so that plant will be trained for 6 colas while the other 3 are trained with 4 each.

Looking great man, I've had that happen before, it's wild how that happens,
I'm betting you're gonna have some very fat flowers, come harvest.
Plus it's alot less work tending to 4-6 colas, then 16-22, or more, lol
      Have fun.

Day 29 of Veg and I started spreading out the main colas on each plant. I used mostly LST but you’ll notice a couple were super cropped due to the extreme vertical nature that the stems were growing. I attempted LST on the back left BB and noticed the stem pulling away from the trunk at it's joint. I gave it a little brace to help hold it in position while it heals and then super cropped the same cola a bit higher up. She appears to be bouncing back nicely.

They look awesome, looking forward to training my plants. Do you prefer to use the fatter soft wire ties? Looks like you have a great system with the eye hooks screwed into the lid!

NickyChicks I do prefer the soft wire ties. They’re firm enough to hold the stems where I want them while being soft and flexible enough so I can wrap them over the stems and apply slight pressure to bend them. I think if I had been using the bread tie style wire, I would have completely snapped off the branch I referenced above. The eye hooks have been great for training, the key is to make sure they have a good nickel coating. The ones I started with only had a cheap nickel coating on them so they started to rust. I’ve since replaced them with a set that has a much better nickel coating and they seem to be holding up well.

Good to know, I have reel of the thinner ties and I think I might opt to get the fatter ties. I wonder if they make eye hooks in stainless, probably cost a little more but at least you know they won't rust

Day 36 of Veg and these ladies are healthy and happy. I moved the light up 6” today to reset the height at 20” from the canopy. I’ll continue to adjust the training ties over the next week but I won’t defoliate again until next week.

In my experience most plants do well at the same feed during Veg, then they start getting a little more temperamental during flower. I generally like to keep my nutrient levels lower than most. I will go as high as 1.4 EC in Veg for Spring & Summer grows when my humidity is in a better range. I’m a little more cautious in the Fall & Winter, these ladies were started at .8 EC and I haven’t gone over 1.0 EC to this point. They showed a few deficiencies early but their roots weren’t fully developed yet. I waited them out and once they had healthy root balls they started throwing out healthy leaves.

Thank you for the response yes I also am a conservative feeder and will adjust as needed. I just feed less amounts to my autos over photos.

Day 50 for these 4 ladies. After a few weeks of leaving them alone it was time for a trimming and defoliation. I thinned the girls out of both branches and leaves, set the remaining branches where I want them for flower and I’ll give them a recovery week before switching to flower a week from today. Here are some pictures before I started trimming.

Nice plants! I don’t have your courage yet for that kind of training. Pinching is about all I’m comfortable with for this first tent grow. I’ll be eager to see how it goes from here.

I switched the timer for these ladies so at noon today they will get their first 12 hours of darkness. I gave them another defoliation this morning and boosted the wattage up to 400.

5 gallon DWC buckets with 4” net pots. I have all 4 tied into an external 5 gallon reservoir.

Obi-Wan i just switched to 12/12 today, started bloom nutes, and changed the spectrum on my light. I’ve got my light at full power 2-3” below what the mfg recommends and the plants are thriving. Should I start to lower the light gradually now or wait till I see flowers to move it?

Light heights vary by model and manufacturers so it’s hard to say, I’ve never used the TC1350 so I’m not sure what works best for the plants. Speaking in general terms I like to start my plants at 24” inches during flower with LED lighting and move them down as the plant can tolerate it. If your plants are thriving I’d give them a week to adjust to the new schedule, then drop it another inch or 2.

I like to wait for the plants to start stretching. I may have misspoke before when I said I drop the light. What I do is let the plants stretch to close the gap between them and the light. When they’ve stretched about 6”, I’ll raise the light 4”. They’ll stretch another 4” and I’ll raise it another 2”. I’ve noticed that every strain is different.

Day 8 of 12/12 and these ladies haven’t missed a beat. They recovered quickly from their defoliation last week and are starting to stretch vertically. This morning I did my first full reservoir change of this grow, switched to bloom nutrients and raised the EC from 1.0 up to 1.4.

Day 15 of 12/12 and I’m just starting to see the first signs of flower. I generally like to wait until week 3 of 12/12 to defoliate but with this group I did it yesterday.
