Get yourself a nice scope from amazon or a eyeloop. I got my 60X scope w light that attaches to phone or iPad for like $14. First off your pistols will get darker. They’re still young in that pic. Use your scope and wait till the trichomes are around 50% amber and 50% cloudy, then do a sugar or molasses flush for another week, then harvest.

Retodd, will get scope in today, also what's the deal with the molasses or sugar flush, I've never heard of that, been using zero water for the entire growing ??
 
Hardbody I use molasses during my entire grow, but especially on my outdoor grow I’d do my flush with molasses or sugar. It gets sucked up by the roots and helps take the harshness out of the smoke, makes it smoother. Your curing process is really important too to make a smooth hit. You don’t cough smoking my smoke, super smooth. I cure a minimum of 2 months before letting it go. I’m still getting it down myself. Some of the guys I know are masters of curing, but they’re doing multiple pounds at a time. You’re gonna love that scope! Most of us are on ‘the great auto showdown’ if you wanna stop by. I think we’re on page 84 now...lol. Me and my buddy started it last year for a competition between like 15 of us. A ton of great reading on our techniques, etc. Spend a day or so reading from the beginning.

Realistically there are several media that can produce successful gardens. It’s now an option going with personal preference. Sticking with the word Soil my indicate things like Fox Farm Ocean Forrest, Fox Farmall Happy Frog. Kind super soil, nature’s’ living soil -super soil, and a list that only gets bigger. You won’t go wrong but there are rules to follow while using these components . The super soilsfor example are used on the bottom of the pot with a coco mix placed above them on top. The fox farm soils can be mixed directly in to pots but need no nutrients for the first 2-3 weeks. The super soils never need nutrients and re only watered with plain proper pH water only.

the there are soilless mediums like coco coir . It also has it requirements for buffering and daily feeding to know in advance.

More of a curiosity than a burning question & someone may have asked it before, but can you clone autoflowering strains? If it can be done, are there any benefits to be had or is it just stupid?
 
Hi, yes and no. Yes but it will still be on the same time clock as its mother eg it will flower same time so there is limited time to grow it. If your auto is say a 3 month grow time and u clone a piece at month 1 you will have 2 months left to grow clone.
 
I’m growing in a new state where they have chloramines in the water supply that can’t be gassed off. What do you advise that I do if I’m not willing to purchase an RO filter. This is a small 5 plant grow. What will happen if I use water with chloramines? Will it damage my plants?
