What is your biggest question about growing cannabis?

I've read dozens of posts and blogs warning about plants going hermaphroditic with even small light leaks in the grow space during lights-off. Is it just indoor growing? Outdoor plants do not get total darkness. Moonlight would be a light 'leak'...No?

Street lamps, house lights, etc can mess with plants outside. We actually use flood lights to extend the growing season. The moon doesnt affect them. Maybe DrPhoton could answer that.

Has anyone ever heard of the strain called Obama love?
it is a emerald triangle seed supposedly a hybrid of cherry wine and Obama kush

So my first grow has been such a steep learning curve. I am probs about 3 weeks from hsrvest. Do you think i will see much more bud growth in that time?

Morning Kerdo88 you could see increase in swelling of buds but no more stretching. Great job and hope you have a jewlers loupe to check ripness of trichs. Great job, they look like fire.

Thanks man i didnt actually think i had done that well but i am obviously being realistic as its my first time. I ordered a handheld microscope which was rubbish. Jewellers loupe arriving tomorrow. Thanks again

If it has to do with Obama then it’ll be a strain that makes a ton of promises and never delivers and no one will accept the strain cause it’s garbage....lmao

Lol....’thanks man’ in response to two women😂.
On Amazon they sell a 60X loop that clamps to your iPhone or iPad that works really well. Watch the color of your trichomes and they’ll tell you when it’s time. We all have different views of when. Me personally I like around 50/50 between amber and cloudy before harvest. Looking at your tent shows this isn’t your first ballgame. I’m just saying that the 50/50 gives you a nice smooth hit and is still very strong on thc content. Once your trichomes get to 30-40% go ahead and do a molasses or brown sugar flush for the last week. This will also make for a nice smooth hit.
🙏🏼✌🏻

You have done good for anyone much less a first grow if it is your first grow. Most strains will add the most weight in the last few weeks. If those buds double in size you are going to have very happy new year.

When I first started to grow pot. I used a pamphlet that was Mary Jane's pot growing guide. It was published in the 60's or 70's. It said that if your plants have a even number of points it is a male plant. Females have odd number of points. Do you know if that is true?

I've never heard that sorry. I go by stipules and balls. If they are crossed gives me hope, if they have "footballs" out the door.

If a plant will naturally grow to 6 ft tall, will it grow 6 ft horizontally when bent over?

When simply bending a plant over in No-Technique Plant Training without topping and without staking the branches out to the sides, How high can I expect the side branches to grow in relation to the original plant height?
Will they be closer to half the height of the plant or will they stretch to nearer the original height? Will they turn straight up to form little trees of their own that need to be pruned or trained or will they stay shorter and simply form tall colas that need to be staked and supported?

This is for an outdoor garden that I am planning for this spring. I have a discreet protected garden space where I can to tie the plants down and let them stretch out across the lawn in full sun, but I'd prefer to not have them too tall, and I have seeds for Durban Poison and Diesel. two tall sativas, as well as White Widow and a Northern Lights Shiva blend.

thanks, Ken

Hi Ken, I don't know the answer as I'm strictly an indoor grower, but it's an awesome plan and an excellent question.
