Actually, old school method is to split main stem with a nail and leave it. You do it at the beginning of bloom and it makes for fuller buds. My mom used to do it. It’s never really been proven as fact, but I know of a few growers that still do it.

The plant that I accidentally split the main stem was one of two clones.from the same plant and it produced twice the weight as its sister, I split the stem by accident in the flowering stretch. she is the one on the right

The heat that got the other plant caused this. Other 4 are fine. And thing one is probably gonna produce the biggest heaviest fastest buds in the contest. She wont win on total weight but she is gonna have massive buds. That's thing 6 above.

Thank you guys. It's been really hard this time for me for reasons some know. But my girls are like friends so no matter how bad life gets or what happens I have to see my girls. Not my best, no where near my worst, I'd be happy if I could just always have success in hard times like this grow.

Spidermite in all my years 60 (so not that many) one fact always remained no matter what and that was the creator never gives you more than you can handle, it just seems overwhelming but you will make it threw

Just also want to say that I'm impressed with everyone's grows here. We have had some setbacks here and there but man some of you guys can fucking grow. Lol

Okay so I’m not going to be around tomorrow so I’m just gonna do my Saturday post now. Well, I’m pretty sure they’re almost done. I’ve got one that I’m fixing to check with the scope because most of the hairs are red but the others are still at least 50/50. They basically have no fan leaves anymore. It’s just sugar leaves. But luckily those and the buds are still green so I’m guessing they’re good until they’re finished. I’ll probab start flushing next water. Oh and they’re all 77 days above soil tomorrow too. So, without further ado...

      Thing 3 is Done.

Started on 11/21 broke ground 11/24, vegged till 1/3, and chopped tonight 2/22. 93 days to harvest on a GSC Feminized photoperiod plant with a 50 day flower time, my ideal harvest was 99% cloud all around the plant with a couple of Amber Tricromes here and there, I have been finding this just right for me with the majority of my smoke, this is my First GSC and I'm pretty excited for it.

      THING ONE
IS STILL A BIT OUT, SHE WAS PLANTED A WEEK LATER (11/27) trying to be as close to the start date of 12/1 with my official entry plant, Durban Poison is confined to the tent NOW due to floppy colas that are starting to bend and break when I move her. She is 50% red hairs curled but still putting on weigh, tonight started water only.

The Lions head is a beefy stock as big as my thumb stacked 12 plus inchs of soild bud, it's going to be a pain to trim as it grows to a massive leafy bulb point up top.

Hey Mr.furley , Congratulations on a beautiful grow and harvest ! It was truly a pleasure to watch and learn from your talent throughout this grow! Keep doing what your doing !! Good Growing !!

        Thank you very much.

So the potential harvester was right on. I busted out the scope and checked all the mains and they were all showing about 5-10% amber trichs. Or I guess that’s a close percentage. Lol hell I saw more than one amber on more than one calyx so I took 5 big mains off the top. Left the rest in the tent to see if it’ll finish. But the ones I took were super ready. Fixing to hang to dry and should be ready go jar when I get back Monday! At least I have a little to try first. Oh and it came out to 56 grams exactly lol. So I should expect 1/3 dried right? Just trying to calculate I might have all together. Happy growing. Juicy.

total grams 56 times .25 = 14 normally you would divide this by 28 (28 grams in an ounce) and that will give you your total weight

Haha ouch. Okay so question, and in case you don’t know I’m asking everyone, when a breeder or seed bank or whoever say a plant usually yields 100g indoors or the 400 g/m2...are they talking wet or dry weight? Just want to be able to somewhat compare. And I’ll go browse the internet for an answer too, if just rather hear it from one of y’all. lol tia

Juicyj89 I’ve wondered the same thing for years...lol. It would have to be wet weight tho. Most I’ve ever gotten dry from a single plant was around 32 oz and that was like 20 yrs ago on a 16’ Afghan. The main stalk was the size of my arm. I’ve seen Jack Herer grow the same size. That’s why I was excited to see what oldjarhead100 was gonna fare on his. Outdoors they can be monsters!

wow after seeing everyone's grows i'm kinda disappointed in mine its hard to remember im two or 3 weeks behind I didn't plant mine until 12/15 but here gos I have 5 in bloom and 5 not in bloom mutant Louie is the 6th picture it is smaller than most height wise but well see how she turns out ,the one in the back right corner looks about half dead ,I think im going to pull her out and see whats what ,I'm also going to water with less so I can water more often , I have been giving them open sesame,

Big difference since last post. Looking good.

Ill post tonight my small girl is doing great super dense buds I'm thinking I've killed my nice plant to much of something last water she turned overnite so gave her 3 gallons of fresh water this morn the last runoff test was good the first was traumatizing. Ill hope for the best over the next few days but the buds look like they fell apart from nice and dense to this ugly fluffy shit. First auto run do no biggie but I'm thinking she was on her finish run and I gave her a modest dose of my mix lol

I too am disappointed, the first 3 were due 1/20, still not close as in 2-4+ weeks yet to go,,,
The Headbanger, White Widow, and White Moscow were said to be 65 days, seed dropped 11/20 all were up within 48 hours.
