16F and dropping here. "only" 10" of snow and now Lake Effect is slowly adding to the pain. Record cold already this morning and expect at least three more to fall this week. I'm crossing my glove covered fingers that this is a way early shot of winter that will pass and we'll get back to more normal conditions.

Like to have empathy for you all but up north here 6 months of winter is the norm. But do hope your heating is fixed soon OJH.
Time to put on the layers and head out to play for another day.
Freezing rain overnight so use the 4 wheel drive or just a pair of ice cleats and go slow again.

Only one of the two I planted made it, but the lemon AK47 I’ve got finally started to show life. The new soil I chose doesn’t seem to be mixing well with them. It’s a bit rich, plus with me adding the bloodmeal to it. I’m not sure how old she is and I haven’t topped her. I’m just going to see how she fairs.

Well today the roots finally showed on my 2 stoned Henge clones. So this grow it will be Stoned Henge, Nitro Lemon Haze, Grandaddy Purple, and GG4. Other than the clones I'm waiting a few weeks to start the rest. I think I have 3 weeks left before all my current plants are done.

Would you mind sharing how you go about cloning? I cut a 5-8" piece of new growth and trim all nodes except top one and trim all leaves so tips are missing. The cutting gets put in water then gel then in a rooter in a dome. 70-90% RH and 22-27C. Then I wait.... and wait.... and wait... until my clones die... with no roots. What am I doing wrong? 😔

Only real thing I do different is I no longer use cloning gel. I immediately put the Clone in a rapid rooter. You need to get the cutting in gel, water, or soil asap so air doesnt get in the cut. Using the gel may be easier for some but after making 1000s this summer I find I dont need it. I then put the rapid rooters in a cloning dome (about $7 on amazon) spray the plants in the dome and then leave it. I use a 26 watt t5 over the plants and give them an 18/6 schedule. I then mist the leaves at least once a day as needed with a very low nutrient solution. I use Fox Farms Big Bloom. You should have roots in 10 days or less.

Thanks as always. I'm hearing a few things I should do differently. Hopefully last question. I have a 50w 2' dual bulb T5 fixture. Good if I keep that maybe 2-3" above top of dome? Would be such a great help if I could finally figure this out.

That should work great. Here is how I learned to clone. I used to take any cuttings from my plants (every type of plant not just cannabis) and I practiced. When the plants rooted I usually potted them and gave them away as presents. But I tried every time I'd have to remove a cloneable branch. I had to throw lots of clones away but I got really good at cloning.

I do it in 2 cuts
First cut: off the plant into water
Second cut: trim it, powder/gel or whatever voodoo you use and into the moist cube/pellet

I leave some leaves, but clip them all (like half of the leaf) they all end up trimmed off later

Into the dome, I dont open the dome unless it is dry,

Like spidermite said,dont let air get in the wound.
It will make a bubble (embolism)

Problem for me Spidermite is that cannabis is the first thing i ever grew successfully, and I'm not even at the one year mark for experience. Hell I killed a cactus once.

I see the cloning piece as the last big stumbling point for me so I really appreciate you guys taking the time to share knowledge

I was in cellar yesterday setting up to do a dry ice hash run , my friend needed help loading a trailer with dump stuff,he had two doors with glass in them so I took the glass from one of them 2.5 by 6 feet perfect for my bench , I think i'm going to try and make a shaker to do it with, my drummer friend had surgery on his neck so hes convalescing lol

I was able to get some cbd buds from a trusted source ( I have a real problem trusting anything big business gets involved in ) anyways yesterday I went from smoking 10 joints during the day to 4 ,I mixed it 1 to 1 ,I was pain free with a almost clear head most of the day , I'm so looking forward to making oil and mixing up a mix for the day and one for the night as well

Here’s my little lemon ak. She finally got her roots started really well and is starting to show some growth. I’m just going to let her do her thing. Like I told my bud spider yesterday, I’m not topping her...she has a natural V shaped top as is. I’m real curious how she grows. Well all see won’t we🙏🏼✌🏻
