The Great Auto Showdown

Spidermite
The Durban Poison was only 233gram so 2oz shy of 280gram. Lol. What was impressive to me was its a photoperiod plant grow from seed and finished in 90 some days at that weight.

Canuck147 you betcha.

I know, right!!! Here in MA. They legalized home grow almost 2 years before they introduced the legal recreational market. Anyone that was paying attention started growing their own because the legal market was never going to be an option.

I’d venture to guess that at least 40% of the legal cannabis sold here in MA. right now isn’t grown above board. This market has been grey for so long that the connections aren’t just severed over night. I remember the days that I paid $150 for premium smoke on the street with no worry about what might be in it, those days are gone. Too many people out to make a buck on someone else’s life!!

I just can't seem to get this right! First I grow Photoperiod plants in a Autoflower Showdown and now I'm growing autoflower plants inside while everyone's growing photo Plants outside. Hahaha Iv never grooved with the grain or maybe I'm just a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

Here are the details:
4 freebie sweet tooth autos germinated on 7/7
1 Hlg-100 led light 24/0. That's right 100 watts total!
24×30×40" grow box.
3 gal geopot.

21 Day's old today from hitting the shot glass, topped at day 19. Got one runt that just started its second set of nodes, no topping on that girl.

Yearly maintenance, cleaning, and heat shut down the flowering tent so I said "what the hey" I'll try some free autos in a mini grow for a change.

My main goal for this grow is more then one grams a watt at harvest, I hope the runt didn't screw that one.

I will be updating this grow here in the "THE GREAT AUTO SHOWDOWN"

Autos, Photos, you’re all good! Next year you’ll be growing the photo’s inside in the July and the autos outside in January😜! I think you had the right idea with your thread, just show your grow, I like to see pretty plants, I’m not particular on their flowering particulars.

If I could only go outside in January without getting frostbite @obl-wan but you never know I may try! I am a bigger fan of pretty flowers and sustainability but in the end the truth is I just like to grow my own weed. 😉

Per plant, per tent, per acre it doesnt matter. Have fun, post some pictures, ask some questions, end with some really nice smoke.

Mr.furley thought I posted it earlier but I dont see it: You finishing the original auto grow off with clones from a photo plant before any autos finished floored me. Not to mention that with such a short veg time you ended with well over 200 grams. Now that's why this thread is so cool. I would have never guessed.

For anyone actually looking forward to winning here I'm not ever sure we keep up with total yield anymore. It's more about bud pics, friends, solving problems, and learning how others grow. I for one could listen to other growers talk all day long about how they grow. I've not met a single grower who couldnt teach me something.

Love it so far, been great for vegging and mothers but will see what it does in flower.

114$ us refurbished from the company. right place at the right time, there was three and I only bought one and now I'm kicking myself.

LoJ
326 days from seed (yup - got it wet 8 Sept 2018)
55 days from pistils
ETA: 3rd week of August

no coke can colas, maybe a couple of Zippo lighters - definitely some regular Bics
I am so pleased with her. she is getting so heavy now. starting to lean
she just started "2 more weeks" :D

her story...
planted last september, was getting ready to flip her in December - then the original 'Show-down" was scheduled start 1 Dec - I figured I could run her at 20/4 with the autos (longest 'advertised' 8-10 weeks ever, felt more like 12 or 13 - but it was fun, learned stuff, smoked my own product - Lurking sticks it to the man!!! but, I digress)
so, it was well into May before there were no more autos, she has\had another roommate (more on that later)

LoJ veg'd at 20/4 under 1000W MH, after the autos started showing pistils - I switched to 1000 HPS.
after the autos were done - I turned my attention back to her and her roommate
she was fairly healthy - about 2 feet tall. should have had way more training to strengthen her lower limbs
by the first week of June, slowly brought the light schedule down to 12/12 nd settled in for a nice flower
then "The Event" happened
Im sure it was a dark day
it was day 24 of flower
I was a bad, bad, bad gardener to her room-mate

following "The Event", I vowed, she would get nothing but love, nutrients, the absolute bearest minimum of touching, and ABSOLUTELY NO DIGGING AROUND IN THE ROOT ZONE BECAUSE YOU DON'T THINK THERE IS AIR. THAT IS WRONG, BAD, BAD GARDENER

I have kept the vow, all of it
she had her last heavy defol at day 21 of flower. since "The Event" (day 24) I only removed light blockers - no polite tucking either, carefully in, snip, carefully out (no touching)

she is around 5 feet from the floor, 3 feet from her pot.

she has a wonderful smell - lightly sweet (some sort of fruit), with a hint of citrus (lemon)

Green Thoughts

Red caster beans, as a warning every part of this plant is poison! I grow it to control pocket gophers. Seeds can be hard to get, PM me if you cant find any,,,
I am in OK

Spidermite More photos of that auto. These came out pretty good and the shots in my hand are water vs dry cured. Most of these were taken only under the 3500k grow light. The second to last photo came out really nice. Not sure what caused it, but it looks grey and then you see the leaves green and some red hairs that really stand out.
