About another week has gone by - have them outside drying when I took these pics. After looking at them I asked myself a question "Hey just cuz we aren't topping the purple stiltons, who is cutting all the fan leaves off?" - " I don't know" - "Well it wasn't me" - "It could have been myself, or was it I?" - "Well it certainly wasn't me"

My 2-1/4 white widow autos are a week old. I should have my critical orange punch, clarendon candy, and iced grapefruit seeds in a week. Those are gonna be my photo grows.

Heres the totals for the first 3, with all my attempts to kill them they still made this;
Headbanger 50 Grams, may have done more had I recognized the sulfur shortage sooner.
White Widow 55 Grams
and the little freak, White Moscow 70 Grams! And to think I almost pulled her to start another because she was deformed,,, she certainly made up lost time.
At this time the smoke is already smoother than what I can buy, the smell and flavors are coming in. As to quality the White Moscow is the leader, with the White Widow in second, the Headbanger is good for day time (keeps me up at night) and not as strong.

That white widow is looking like mine. I'm now having to tie off the tops to keep them upright.
I do wish my stems were stronger.

So I topped 'big' - 4th node was established and number 5 was coming up so I snipped. Now the first and second nodes have good stems already working so I also began the LST. Third is still sprouting. Second set has a better and stronger set of stems coming out.

I was planning on just trying the quadlining idea at first in my head but the first set if stems look pretty strong as well. Maybe try three? I mean six?

What I learned from my last grow - Expect the plant to grow a bit vertically, one can but I don't think it's a good idea to hold the plant firmly down from the start. Let it grow up a bit - so I have used long pieces of wire with larger rounded ends. Cuz I also learned that those first stems you hold down will thicken up - one has to allow for expansion.

Question for all of you - do I cut off those first node stems and j y st grow with 4? Or wait it out a bit and see how the third stems come out?

I'll wait it out and also wait on any replies - as I used to be a waiter in a large hotel beer parlour in the late 70's. Lots of fun.

I'll post pics in the next few days.

You you’re saying your a old timer?😂
When I was testing my mystery outdoor plants last year I did different training methods on each of them. I topped the widows after the third set and they did ok. I did two after the second, but lollipoped them. It’s hard to say. I’d just play it by ear. Are you going to grow indoor or outdoor? Outdoor I wouldn’t even top.

Not able to grow outdoors - could - but I have to chase the sun moving my pots just to get 6 hours of sun a day, when it's out. Have some bigass cedar and fir trees in the backyard - so it's hard, even though our backyard faces due south. Best place outside would be on the roof. And I not that young and dumb to to that. Hehehe - apologies to the millennial crowd watching. Indoors for me. No pests.

my Things are still in their pots
