I am in an official STATE OF EMERGENCY!! I think I fried my ballast yesterday. I gave my girls a nice flush, but, because of the SCROG, it got a little awkward. I spilled some water on it, immediately wiped it off. The light stayed on the rest of the day with no issues. This morning, the lights weren't on, so I investigated. The timer was good, the CFL light was on, but the HPS was not. When I checked thee ballast, water started to drip out! OMG!! I held it vertically and...drip...drip! Just what I need 4 days from harvest! And because I missed a week of work with the medical issues, I don't have the money for a new one! Are my girls gonna suffer without the light for the last 4 days? I do have the 100w CFL on toP of them now (still on the 12/12), but I'm really nervous! I would hate for all of this hard work to be for nothing! Should I just put another CFL or two in there? CALLING ALL CARS!!!!!

Ohhh sorry to hear this! Not that it helps but at least you are close to harvest time :( what kind of ballast do you use?

Green matie i really don't think you will waste anything with 4 days less of one bulb!Plants that grow with CFL seed to harvest seem to do quite awesome work on cannabinoids and couch locking without 600w running on them!!Just next time get your ballast up high somewhere ;)

It says online that they are engineered to be compatible with all major brand lamps, both MH and HPS, so it sounds like it will work. How would you like to proceed?

Well the day has come! Tomorrow is officially 8 weeks of flowering and here is a final shot of the ladies. I plan to chop chop tomorrow. I'm curious as to what you guys think, being that I ran into my lighting blunder 4 days ago. I don't have a mag glass to see the trichs, but you can see that a lot of the hairs have turned brown or red and they are rather frosty. I didn't see any real complications using the 100W CFL for 4 days, so should I chop or wait another week...thoughts?
