HELP! Anomaly while germinating autoflower seed

Hello! I just started jerminating a couple of seeds (auto hulkberry specifically) and noticed this one isn't developing as usual... (I used the water glass method for half a day and then put them in a damp tissue)
Is this ok? Can I still plant it and should I? Thanks in advance

Looks like the cotyldems popped out before the tap root. Have never seen that before. I would go ahead and plant it to see what happens.

At this point ya' got nothing to lose, see if the shell will pop off and plant it normally. IF it don't pop off give it another 12-18 hrs and try again. Last resort plant it as is and hope 4 the best, seed is already paid for so you won't lose anything more than what you already have or haven't lost. good luck, let us know

The shell popped off and I can kinda notice a small root, how do you suggest i go about planting it? ty in advance will update

I would say plant as normal, tap root facing down, about a 1/2 inch deep. No reason it shouldn't grow

Chances are slim that it would be worth keeping. If it was a photo period plant, I would say plant it and see how it plays out. But since it's an auto flower, I would not waste the time and energy on it because if an auto flower doesn't hit the ground running, you get a crappy performance and undesirable result.

My advice would be to toss the dud and pop a new seed.

Interesting anomaly. I'd try planting it like ductwizard2suggests. However, MisterBlankalso provides good insight. It may well be worth sprouting another AF if the weird one does not start growing. More of a concern for an indoor tent grow than outside or in a greenhouse. There are often multiple answers depending on your grow set up. I do summer outdoors and winter greenhouse, no tents, and have lots of room to baby an unusual plant.

Yeah, I guess it's all about weather or not you wanna put the effort in and have the space. Pop another just to make sure you end up with a decent plant
