Hey gator, don't make the same mistake i did and mix fresh biochar in soil and plant right away. Biochar needs to be charged first or it will suck nutes out of the soil for a couple of weeks and plants will show deficiencies . I put a couple gallons in every compost pile I make and use the compost in my soil mix but there are many recipes online to charge it. Read a book on biochar years ago, fascinating stuff. Fun fact, because of the lattice like structure a piece of biochar the size of a grain of rice has the surface area a football field. Hard to believe but the author swore it was true, i need to try to find that book now

She's doing ok,a little bit of vertical growth, but nothing else, maybe a little transplant shock Click image for larger version

I like how they started out bushy, usually i have a hard time with seedlings starting off too stretchy which prob leads to less weed off each plant

I wonder if the ones that grow wild in my yard have the same effect on them

So it's been 10 days since I ordered from build a soil, the stuff arrived at the local post office this morning and I'm still waiting, their website says it's going to be here tomorrow, which is 11 days from the day that I ordered, probably won't order anything from them again

When I clean the tanks I change some of the water and I add some hydrogaurd, it really helps keep the waste in check, I'm going to be using the water that I remove to water the plant, tomorrow is tank cleaning day 😁
