Well I saw Rwise post so i ran out took some pics to update these outdoor ladies. From left to right we have a shot of my old greenhouse finally got setup with my daughter an her friends help. 2nd pic is my autos an the freakshow gal chugging along the row of photos all smaller indica crosses last pic looking down on Wedding Cake she sure is a short squat plant if she goes 5ft tall i'd be OK with it. It's a busy time of year for us with limits to doing outdoor chores. Got my patio built which was my only big goal so i can sit outside rain or snow or i can sit in my old hippie greenhouse sweat to the oldies of yesteryear. Anyway their growing fine no early flower but in a few weeks they'll start setting preflower i'd imagine. Temps were in the 89-95f with a nice breeze but it's a warm one. Watering every 2 days, top dressing with worm poo and feeding age old organics grow when they look hungry for more. My soil i mixed seems used up of it's composted material so it's only teas an top dressing and a rare feeding of the AOG. First time outdoor growers just saying that patience and bug prevention is one key to a successful grow lots of patience.

Never had too many problems with bugs. White fly I have had prolific numerous times but a few gentle sprays on the leaves, soapy water, and they'd die or go away. You could shake the plant and a white cloud would appear but plants were pretty hardy and not too badly effected.
Caterpillars I picked off by hand, spiders I left alone, snails were a constant pest so I'd sprinkle used coffee grinds around the base of the plant but they do impact yields so I'd vary it with snail pellets. Keeping them off the ground on stands seemed to work best for snails and probably helped with all the non flying bugs...never had a locust problem either.

Looking good SoOrbudgal. Nice color on everything. Wish I had some of your heat. Only low 70s and still upper 40s . After Thursday a chance of rain for 12 straight days. We'll see. Here are my girls. Two photos are getting tall. Up-potting tomorrow. 3 Scarlets are doing their thing. Sunset is showing crazy color. Maybe the low temps.

Today and for the next several days the temps in my area are dipping to the mid 70s with some rain in the north end there saying? I have visability at 5:30am so i walked outback to see how mine are doing and i tell ya the 4 autos are droppy but the pots are heavy from 2days ago giving them water. It's a patience and luck even if you do things right, outdoors ain't for sissys.

My Freaky gal got larger panies this morning. She out grew her 2gal pot finally LOL only took 3months. Put her in a 7gal hope she enjoys the fresh soil mix and the lower temps were getting for the next 3 days.

I have not seeded abc. Took clones from last year's. Going to try reversing one and back cross it with auto purple bastard eater. Cured bud smelled like Twinkies and the buzz was stronger than expected. Good sativa high.

Hello everyone. Happy Summer Solstice. Here are my girls just chugging along. Saw a single spot of wpm on one of the autos. Hope it's not a sign of things to come. 14 day forecast has no days above 78f. Cool and humid, just like fall. And a few other flower shots, a Columbine, a few roses, and a Clematis just getting started.

Oh your place reminds me of my old place on the river, shady forested. My columbine are done except for a couple flowers hanging on. I've been collecting the seed pods i'll spread them around my yard near the fences. I would do this at my old place and man i had hundreads of them mostly the large purple ones. Now i've got yellows an reds pinks and purple but i want more LOL. Landscaping is so much joy to me, I just love walking in gardens. OK back to the weed. I too have found just a couple of leaf with WPM it's the early morning dew we still get. We've had cooler temps here and 2 days of rain which i put the autos into my greenhouse but the photos loved it. I don't think my autos are gonna be as big as i used to have outdoors only because i did'nt baby them indoors for a month they got stunted it looks like. I won't do that again first time for everything. Sorry for the long post but love your photos Bowhunterwoody

Thanks SoOrbudgal. Have a chance of rain every day right thru July 4th. Cooler temps too. My autos are on the small side too but it's definitely my fault. I only get around 7 or 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. They kinda slowed down when I brought them outside. Still doing ok though. Leaf hoppers have arrived too.

Now I am in on this. I don't usually grow outdoors as the climate here is not ideal for cannabis growing. It is forecast to rain for the next 12 days, and it has been raining and cloudy most of the time for the last 4 weeks. These are "seedlings" that were left over from the batch that I started for friends, 34 days old. They are orphans. I have no room for them in the tent, and I could not bear to just trash them. So 2 were put in 3 gallon bags with coco/perlite and 3 will be left in solo cups for the duration. I feel a challenge coming on. One of the plants in bags was topped above node 5 and the other was not touched at all. It will be interesting to see what happens to them. They need to be hardened over so for now just indirect sunlight.

Man did the wind blow! 114 MPH straight line winds, from what I can tell. Once I get caught up I'll have pics of my broken limbs, (lost 2 limbs) over all they held up well. Some of my 150 YO Oak trees snapped off at the ground several cotton woods were uprooted. I'll tell you, you dont know how much you'll miss electricity until its gone! All the family is good and little damage, my only structural damage is a very old rock building blew out a wall, mind made up tear it down.

This is what I woke up to after the big blow, some of the pics may be fuzzy, limbs bigger than many autos gone. And look at the busted places, I coated them with fresh aloe vera juice, staked and tied them back up, though the Colombian purple has a split about 10" long, you can see how she laid over.

            Head up, soldier on.
If I grew outdoors here and not in a fully fenced enclosure my plants would look like that every morning what is left of them...I know the feeling.

My outdoor grow is finally outdoors! I have a monster heat issue that I have to address but luckily the days were mostly rainy and only sunny for a few hours. I'm thinking maybe I'll skip the box fans and go straight for a barn fan.

Boy those look so frigging healthy you did such a great job with them. I'm kicking myself ( just alittle ) for not vegging my 4 outdoor autos inside my tent under lights prior to setting them out. They are so behind in development and now they are going into flower. They were part of my salvation from running out of my own stash and now needing to purchase but live and learn. I know you can do this they are gonna love it in that tent.
