Ordered a Buchner funnel to fit filters I had. They sent the wrong funnel. It is too big to fit the flask, but I can make a modification. But the filters are way too small.
Instead of asking me to return the $102 funnel they sent, and send out the correct $13 piece, they refunded my $12 filter money so I can buy the correct $15 size.
The economy in that makes no sense. But, hey. I'm $89 up on someone instead of them on me.Last edited by Gingerbeard; 11-14-2024, 07:01 PM.C'mon, mule!

I'm quick to unleash my ginger wrath on companies who need a good wrathing, so I thought I would throw kudos to Grainger's customer service. Just their customer service.
They sent me a wrongly packaged funnel but the correct filters for the funnel I actually ordered. Got a refund for and they let me keep the filters. Figured I could make the funnel work with, and ordered, the correct size filters. The correct size filters were cut wrong and do not fit the funnel. So, depending on how you want to look at it, either 66% or 100% of the items I have ordered from Grainger have been wrong.
However, in the end, when I contacted them about replacing the new filters that are cut wrong and told them I also wanted to return the wrongly packaged funnel that had been used once, they told me to keep it, and I would be getting a refund on the funnel. The new filters that are cut wrong are going to get taken to a local Grainger shop for return. I'm good with the hand returning a mailed item so I can show them I'm not making all this up.
I get my money back on everything and get to keep everything. So, Grainger has the best customer service I have come across in a long time. A little wary on their product quality, though.C'mon, mule!

I love taco Tuesday. Y'all probably picked up on that. But what is my devotion to taco Tuesday?
I will gingerly step over the... wait... gingerly... step over the college fraternity hazing night size puddle of puke some dolled up young woman laid out in front of the taco shop's front door to get my tacos, knowing full well I would have to step over the same puddle on the way out.

Bluey almost never. I've only heard of one or two and they were rabid.

the forestry man told me that large cats don't bother people much, and if you see one, to throw your hands in the air, stomp and make a lot of noise and the cats will run away. they are afraid of people and prefer smaller game. the big cat prides you see taking down water buffalo does not apply here in the states.

I always have a tubed mouse with me when I go hiking in cat country. If some bad-ol'-cat comes looking to suck my blood from my neck while it shits on me, I reach in and grab my tubed mouse by the tail, dangle it in front of the cat and chuck it in the woods. Cat goes for the untubed mouse and I'm on my way.

I had a black panther come into the yard (I had 15 acres next a 16,000 acre game reserve), damn thing (male) was as big as my dogs (German shepherds). I think it came up as one of the female cats was in heat. I went to the local game ranger office (about a mile) and ask about it and was told the female had been seen with 4 cubs. They dont admit on record that they are there, if they do then they will become protected. Only seen it once.
