Yes, bacon, TY. S&P are a given, I think celery salt adds a lot to many things, esp chicken salad.

Puglover1. Pretty much it with bacon, a little salt, black pepper, celery salt, but without the carrots.

A great Swiss chef served Seafood Chowder at his restaurant here. I haven't made the copy cat recipe in 30 years but been thinking about it. I recall sautéing potatoes cubes, onions & carrots then making a roux. Added cream and milk, simmered, then added shrimp, white fish, crab & lobster when appropriate. Feels like I'm forgetting a seasoning or something. I bought canned clam chowder from NE, it wasn't very good. Yours looks yum!

You know what I love.... Homemade New England clam chowder,(the only clam chowder), with self raked clams, potatoes and onions and even the parsley from the garden. Best you can get on a cold rainy snowy winter night.

@3Berries...that's the thing about doing good work. You have to stop and admire it while your doing it and especially after it gets done.

Walking my dog and enjoying a reefer along the way has become my way of disconnecting for a while...I love it.
