    Still on about onions, huh?
Hey, you could always move to Arizona or Hawaii. They don't practice daylight saving time.
But yes, I was rather confused for a moment when my lights shut off on me when I was trying to work in my space this morning at 6am, lol. Mechanical timers FTW!

What about onion rings? If you don't like onion rings, you are un-American. That's like not liking hush puppies or tater tots. Tater tots, man!!!
I'd like to remind you Going2fast, that we weigh our weed in grams. Grams are metric.
To further confuse things, ounces are imperial.
Please don't dis our half-educated ancestors. Mine came to America (not the USA) in the 1640's and were homesteaders when living in dug-out sod houses on barren land was the in-thing. Until a decade ago, I inherited and owned 62 acres of pastureland in Kansas that had been ours since before Kansas. Came down to me rather having a quick pile than yearly checks of $120. That was a long-standing handshake agreement my side of the family had with the side that worked it.
Grandma got her first .22 when she was 12. She said giving a girl a gun when she turns 12 is not a good idea. HA! One time, she sneered at a group of young women who were being loud. G said, "You know why those girls are acting like that? Because they got their first period!" Ahh... Grandma. We heard you when you farted.
Anyway, get over the time change. You are not a virgin at this. Set your clocks and live by them. Find a dudebroman's support group.

What? Never said anything about tater tots. I love tater tots. If you don't like tater tots then you're just plain un American. And since when did they put onions in tater tots? Funyuns are awesome but they taste nothing like an actual onion. I got my first 22 when I was 9. Your grandma was untrustworthy until 12 obviously. Oh and my graet grandma was cherokee. so get off my lawn.

Hmm... you didn't mention hush puppies. Obviously, you are a Yankee. A damned Yankee!
I'm happy for your great grandma and your heritage. My GG Jessie was a white lady. Way back from Norway, or somewhere's near. Same happiness. You for me?
My G's family must not have lived as high on the hill as yours. See'ns how mine was the second-to-youngest of (only) 8 sibs. Half boys. 'twarn't necessary for a girl to have a gun. Must have been a safer homestead.

You know what I hate?..................I hate cell phones. They make us even lazier than we were before their existence. Prior to the cell, phone users memorized phone numbers that they called frequently. Sure, there were Rolodexes for those with lots of contacts (like business folks), and pocket-size address books for those of us with a more limited mental capacity to recall numbers accurately, but even I was able to retain a few of my most frequently called numbers. There was some small degree of mental exercise involved, albeit damn small. Cell phones don't offer even that tiny modicum of mental exercise. Given that, I fail to see to see how "great" the metric system is since, similarly, it encourages mathematical laziness. Look at the right side of the chart, so generously provided by Guest, with all of them ones and zeros! I feel mentally diminished just thinking about it! HA!

N.B. - For those too young to know address books, there's a page from an old one of mine more than 40 years old. I feel okay sharing OngKar's old phone number since I know he is no longer at it. The O.C.F. (Oregon Country Fair) is a juried arts and crafts fair that happens annually, the weekend after the 4th of July. The first Fair was 1969. If you happen to be in the Eugene, Oregon area at the right time, I encourage you to go. It is an experience you will likely never forget, and that's in a good way! The last photo is of me and my son in 2015 at the Fair sitting just beyond the Watergate. It's where the Fair ends for the public. I was working on his security crew.

I hate watching the badass storms on the ocean, barely missing my community. Rain for San Diego, sure. But not all of San Diego.
Bastards! I would wash my car in a thong for rain. If I had a car.

No. Thanks for asking. Check the punctuation. My car would be wearing a thong. Me in a thong makes me gag a little.
When I taught, I would tell them I would buy the class a scoop of ice-cream if something happened. Well, I did not say I would buy a scoop of ice-cream for everyone in the class. One class, one scoop.

The real money might be in storage or harboring fees. People with boats, man. They'll pay stupid money for some ol' boat. Sheesh!
Smug, too. "Ooh, lookit me. I did something with my life and am in a position to own a boat because my house, which is on the water, has a boat dock! Nothing about this precludes me from having a blown-out car or jacked up truck. I just don't, because I'm not a douche."
If a boat does that in San Diego it is either full of drugs or surrounded by footprints of the human cargo running in all directions. Have you checked it for either?

According to maritime law I can claim it as salvage. Going to put it up on air bnb.

I am rubbing salt in my own wounds, Morman. I'm not a big boat person, what with scaring fish away with my constant seasick vomiting. Your fishing is abundant without needing to boat. Perhaps enough so I would be able to catch dinner.
By most good folks' standards, you have a bucolic place. Everything about it is peaceful. If you had to, you are right connected to the Atlantic and could make for the 12 mile limit for international waters. Only iff.
