at least 56 days total. i think maybe 30 more days (or so from today) they let me know if they need longer. flower development is slow on Suzie 2 compared to Hazel. i may need to add a week or more to that
      Last edited by BU2B; 04-11-2022, 04:21 AM.

My estimated harvest weight of dried and cured flower for this grow
    • 32 flowering branches (Hazel)
    • 24 flowering branches (Suzie 2)
    • Every two flowering branches with 6+ inches of total bud packets will weigh about 26 grams dried and cured
    • 56 flowering branches divided by 2 = 28
    • 28 x 26 = 728 grams dried and cured
    • 728 divided by 28 (grams per oz) = 26 ounces or 1.625 lbs total
This estimate is if everything goes perfectly up until harvest. I don’t know if I’ll make it but I’m aiming HIGH 😂

      WEEK 2 Day 1
My pretty little girl is starting to stack buds! Woo Hooo! if this were an auto I'd be close to harvest, right Farmbuck? I think I see 17 flower tops so almost as many as BU2B has on his lesser plant, lmao! I wanted to say she is getting stacked but she is my baby!

What ?? I leave for a few months and I missed all of the action !!! Pretty girl by the way.

      The miscount: 13 April 2022
I just realized I was counting flowering day 1 the same as the last day of pre-flowering transition to bloom. To be more accurate flowering weeks will be counted from Saturday to Friday from this point forward. Which makes today flowering Week 4 Day 5. Things are looking good and buds are just barely starting to fill in a bit. I have to really hold myself back from going photo crazy at about this point in the grow. Buds are filling in and filling out and fascinating me with every new view. So even though I was holding out for week 5 here are a few photos of the girls just before and after lights on this afternoon. Judging by flower growth at this point the likelihood of adding more time for buds to ripen is looking a bit more likely than not.

        Looking top notch as usual.

In spite of my blunders leading to a slow start, my girl is coming along nicely! Not tall but bushy with extra tight node spacing. I'm trying to get some light to the lower buds so I spread her wide. She does need a trim but I don't want to get rid of the energy producing fans until week 3 and she's only 10 days in. My 300 watts is at 21 inches since hatch so I might lower 3 inches. Last grow was at 15 inches with just minor light burn. She is fully in flower and will hopefully stretch more in the next couple weeks.

The tallest branch on each plant (with the exception of Little Suzie) is currently right at 55cm (22”). They are still drinking close to 3 liters per day per tub. The original estimate for the grow shows 122 days of which 100 have passed at this point. I’m pretty sure that the 22 remaining days from the original estimate is at least 6 days short. Four weeks left is 28 days and as mentioned earlier in my estimation even 28 days is probably to soon. My best estimate for harvest date is somewhere between 28-52 days from today.
The slow defoliation of leaves in prep for ripening and harvest starts tomorrow.

            Photo Update: 17 April 2022

Before I post the pics I thought you would find this interesting : https://www.marijuanamoment.net/dea-...eed-thc-limit/ A good friend sent me the link and story and I'm more than happy to share it with you. If you're ordering your seeds from out of the country... this pretty much insures that customs will stop tossing seeds and sending letters.

I though maybe it was time for an alternative view of the girls. They really are not as full as they appear from the top. Each branch has space for it's own tube of light to surround it so that light can get as deep down into the plant as possible; in this case, that's all the way down to the main and side branches. Bud development is much quicker on the Purple Bubba (Hazel) than on the Platinum Purple Kush. It's pretty important that Suzie 2 stays as open as possible as she is a medium producer and can use all the help she can get.

The light is currently 38cm (15") from the tallest branch. and... here are the girls: Flowering Week 5 Day 2

I know it's not christmas but found myself humming this tune this afternoon...

A sentimental song about christmas. This version is taken from the Australian 'Ready For This?' DVD. my light is a MarsHydro TS3000. It covers 5'x5' in veg and 4'x4' for flowering. Output of about 30k lux at full power and 15-18 inches (38-45cm) above the canopy.

                  Flowering Week 6 Day 1: 23 April 2022

Just about 3 weeks to go. The girls are filling in nicely and getting nice and frosty. The grow room smells like a fruit bowl and I’m lovin it. Instead of using two flower enhancers this grow as I have done in the past (Bud Candy & Big Bud) I went with TPS Nutrients Signal brand terpene support. Even though you use quite a bit less it made no difference to the nute burn on leave tips - all of which happened prior to flowering. As you will see from the included photos as I stated earlier, it does indeed appear more on strains with lighter colored leaves. Check out the leaf tips between Suzie 2 & Hazel and I bet you will be able to pick out which plant is which by leaf tips alone.

                    Flowering Week 6 Day 4: 26 April 2022

To be quite honest. Not much has changed. Just twiddling my thumbs and waiting. The buds on Hazel are big and fat and filling in a little more each day. Suzie 2 I have splayed out as much as possible trying to help those buds get a bit bigger. Her buds are sticky sweet hair grabbers. If nothing else she will make some fine oil. Next post from me will be Week 7 Day 1 (this coming Saturday). Until then, here are the girls this afternoon:

This is the boring part of a photo grow to me. It's so s l o o ww! Just stacking and fattening now! I am happy to see sugar tho! Still thinking about 5 weeks yet. 1st week of June.
