I've been slacking this week, but the plants haven't
3-10-17 DAY42 / 15 Fed Mystic #2, mistakenly moved Roleandro up to 18.5". I had some wind burn from my fan and thought it was light burn. Fed Mystic and Bubble Veg II nutes with 5ml of CalMag, 6.0 Ph. 36%/77% 72/88. Moved P300 up to 19.5" above canopy rather than risk them stretching into burn territory while I'm away. Then I went away for a few days...
3-12-17 DAY 44 / 17 The plants survived my absence and the Bubble and Mystic are really going strong. However, Mystic #2 really stretched while I was away and the wind/fan burn became apparent. Bubble and especially the Mystic drank a lot so another Veg II feed at 5.8 Ph. 45%/72% 73/82
3-13-17 DAY 45 / 18 Topped Mystic #2, stripped lower two nodes conveniently removing the wind burned fan leaves The top node has crazy pre-flowers already but she's much lankier than her predecessor and I don't think the "staple training" approach will work. Moved Roleandro down to 16" from the canopy. It may be the pheno but I feel I'm really seeing the shortcomings of the cheap light vs. the P300. Turned off oscillation on fan temporarily. 46%/69% 75/84
3-14-17 DAY 46 / 19 Moved Bubble and Mystic up to Generative I nutes, they shared a gallon at 5.9 Ph. 47%/68% 77/84
3-15-17 DAY 47 / 20 Big day today I rearranged my tent. I shifted the order of plants so the more mature plant are closer to the fan and the young plant is furthest away. I added one of my new pepper frames around the Mystic who is finally showing some good early flowers. The bubble is clearly much further along than mystic and I need to think about taking it to Generative II and the P/K boost earlier than the Mystic I think. I also added my DormGrow far red led UFO, 75w or so of extra red for Bubbles' flowers. During the reset I put the P300 at 18.5", the 90W at about 16", and the Roleandro over Mystic#2 at 16". I made a gallon of Veg I nutes 6.0 Ph and fed Mystic #2. Stored remainder nutes. I also added some extra coir mix to Mystic #2 to try and offset the extra stretch. 46%/68% 75/84
Amazing how unique these little plants are, all individuals needing slightly different treatment.8 PhotosLast edited by Beach_Town_Brit; 03-16-2017, 04:43 PM.Sand, sea, sun, sausages, and sinsemilla.

I am too simple to understand what you said but your plants look great!!! And sounds like you did spring cleaning / arranging:

You are eternally humble Tika, but I don't believe a word of your self-deprecation -- I've seen your grow : )
Apologies to all for being verbose and perhaps overly wordy, I can't help myself ... in my defense I do work at a library, I blame all the old smelly books.Last edited by Beach_Town_Brit; 03-24-2017, 02:31 PM.

Great progress BTB! 😊 Mystic 2 is such a cutie, Mystic looks super powerful with lots of potential, and Bubbles is developing some lovely flowers! Love your close-up pics also. They have a great daddy looking after them! 🐸

Yeah, it's fun doing a "public" experiment like this. Forces you to face your mistakes head on. I just hope I get an okay yield.
With the Bubble storming ahead so confidently I think she might only need 2-3 more weeks so I'm going to have to start another seed next week -- Mephisto's Sour Bubbly auto as nominated by Tika for its 24 ct. heritage.

Gonna do an update soon, but not today. However, my girlfriend did take this rather lovely shot of the Bubble this week:1 PhotoSand, sea, sun, sausages, and sinsemilla.

It's been a good week. The Bubble is fattening up really well, but she's also getting old and crotchety. The Mystic keeps going and is showing some bud but she'll need at least 2 weeks longer than her Bubblelicous sister I think. Mystic 2 finally seems to have taken off and she's storming into a stretch and still throwing crazy pre-flowers at every node.
A new addition to the family, Sour Bubbly from Mephisto, is hopefully gonna pop in the next day or so. She's under CFLs for now until I harvest the Bubble.
3-17-17 DAY 49 / 22 Fed Bubble remaining Generative I nutes. Bent over the main stem of Bubble 2 and "stapled" her down. I'm looking to train this one more severely than her predecessor. 43%/78% 75/88
3-18-17 DAY 50 / 23 Haircut day for the Mystic, I thinned out the canopy some. Fed her Generative I nutes with 5ml CalMag @ 6.2 Ph, run-off was 5.9 Ph. A couple of fans off the bubble. I pulled the Sour Bubbly seed from the fridge to let it warm to room temperature. 46%/68% 77/90 It's been getting a bit warm so I've been opening the top of the tent when I can.
3-19-17 DAY 51 / 24 I made Generative II nutes for the Bubble (this ups nutes to the max for the schedule, and adds 5.7 ml of Canna's P/K) 45%/68% 77/90
3-20-17 DAY 52 / 25 Set the Sour Bubbly seed to soak in the morning. I added some rhizotonic to my seed soak water this time, Ph'd to 6.2. The Bubble started complaining, some leaf issues, tip burn etc. I think it was a combo of the heavier nutes, high temperatures, and the lights being too close. I backed the 90W red led UFO up a few inches to give her a break. After an 8 hour soak I potted the Sour Bubbly as usual and put her under some CFLs.I gave Mystic the leftover Generative I nutes. 40%/55% 79/90
3-21-17 DAY 53 / 26 Gen I nutes at 5.7 Ph for Mystic, I think I'll switch her to Gen II next week (a bit earlier, development wise, than the Bubble). I lollipopped the Mystic's under carriage, she really is a very bushy strain and perhaps pheno.
3-22-17 DAY 54 / 27 Leftover Gen II nutes to Bubble, 6.0 Ph. Mystic buds finally starting to swell a bit. Took a couple of new growth tips off Mystic #2, she should have 9 main stems now and I'll try and keep it that way. 38% / 64% 72/86
3-23-17 DAY 55 / 28 I left the fan not oscillating so it was on the poor Mystic continuously --oops-- she looked a bit droopy but she'll be fine Veg I nutes for Mystic #2 w. 5ml CalMag 6.1 Ph. 29%/51% 73/86
So what do you guys think about the Bubble. Her buds look awesome and are still thickening a bit but she's also suffering a bit (as these ladies are increasingly prone to do in late flower). I'm going to drop back nutes moving to generative III but also need to start thinking about a flush week. Do you guys think she has 2 more weeks in her?13 PhotosSand, sea, sun, sausages, and sinsemilla.

Nice progress on all three! Bubbles does look like she's a week or so away from primetime, but the trichomes should tell you more. Nice fattening there! Mystic looks sweet, though slower, she should end up quite bountiful. And nice job on M2 with training...looks like another winner on the way. 🙌🌿🌿🌿

What a rush!!! Great looking buds!
i support trichome cloudy for testing doneness too ( since all my pistils don't brown out anyway and sometimes not even a majority).
As GWE said..the harvest window has more time in it than we think BUT in same breath I have found in my last 2 grows- they finished a week early according to breeder recommendation under the. LEDS.
so..it really is loupe city for those getting close.
the Canna feed chart still puzzles me in the description for when to change phases and how many weeks they say the phase is.

Hey Vapo, I take the start of that week as somewhere in between flowering stretch and bud fattening. Depending on the speed of your plant I'd watch for the stretch to slow, and the plant to start focusing on fattening buds. For a fast strain like Bubblelicous my intuition is that you wanna go straight into Gen II at that point. With the slower Mystic strain my stretch finished last week and fattening has started but I think it'll be another week before I switch the Mystic to Gen II.
Gen III really drops the nutes down to starter plant levels. I was late on giving Gen II to my Bubble and I think and she got quite upset, but now she's dropped back to the low nute Gen II she's stabilized for her last few weeks. Hopefully I can pull off a smoother transition through the three generative stages with the Mystic.

Trich watching on the Bubble, definitely clouding up in only a few days. She looks happier on the lesser nutes and is perhaps adding some weight (fingers crossed). Earlier pics are top buds, later pics lower buds.5 PhotosSand, sea, sun, sausages, and sinsemilla.

Lots of happy trichomes there! 😊 Good luck on your harvesting decision. I'm currently looking close at my Cheesey, and trying to decide on when to reap. I would like to hit peak THC without much conversion to CBN. Listening to hear her whisper "I'm ready now...take me!" 😘

Ahh, of course, I wanna try the hot soil thing some time.
That's interesting that your lower colas are ready before the upper ones, seems counter-intuitive one would imagine the colas closer to the light would be ready sooner. Maybe it's more about the size of the colas...
-
It is interesting about the lower colas maturing more quickly....surprised me when I first noticed. In the case of my Cheesey, I think that it is due to the fact that the four main arms that were created when I topped at the second node grew out first, but stayed lower. These are the ones harvested. Also too, I use 8 CFL fixtures to surround the entire plant...including the lower side branches. So the first to grow became the first to go! 😉
