What do you do for a living ?

This might be a fun subject. What do you folks do to support yourselves. I'm a retired Telecommunications Specialist. Worked for State Government for 32 years.

I can't be too specific because the industry is small and tight knit... everyone knows everyone...

The first job I had after I got out oft he military was a Merchant Marine for Exon. I've had a Z card since I was 16. I didn't like it and it was short lived.

It's all good, St.buds: working for yourself is the best work there is. The only thing we want to impress each other with around here is the glistening, huge buds we grow!

Self employed, one man show, been landscraping the town for close to 20 years now, just your general landscape maintenance, lawn care, flower beds, pruning, small construction, pressure washing...keeps me out of trouble and i don't have to deal with people much and plants don't talk back. Only thing I'm really sick and tired of is the condescending attitude of way too many of my (money) wealthy customers. Elitism is a disease many of them are afflicted with unfortunately. Other than that I love my job and my new hobby is the perfect addition to my career.

I think that at some point they loose track of the value of a given amount of money. Once they are out of touch with it any amount can sound like a lot or a little. They can become paranoid of being "ripped off", but never really know when or if it happens. Really makes them into monsters.
