I think I will bother. I want to see the results. For my own personal curiosity. It's an option, so why not experiment?
Both. You cant enable them independently. I double checked and the option enables both sunset/sunrise duration at the same time. So on and off are both 30 minutes.
And the Evo is a full spectrum light, which from what I read is 6 band, and the Evo is not that expensive. And no, I'm not being compensated for my choice of light. That was my decision based on MY needs and wants...

Did you include twilight in the lights on period or just add it each side?
Note the authors don't say how much it increased flowering or if the results can be applied outside of the canola family of plants.
These researchers used spectrum controlled lighting to achieve twilight. We have nothing that comes close to their equipment. Very expensive.
I wouldn't bother. If you veg them for a few extra days you will also get larger yields.

Oh, and I read an article on twilight increasing biomass in plants recently, so just for sh*ts and giggles I enabled 30 minutes on my Evo 3 couple days ago. We shall see the end results soon....
"There's something incredibly interesting going on within this twilight period that has not been previously observed."

I am so thrilled. The clone machine was the best thing I ever bought.
My vision of a 2x4 sog is becoming a reality.
Ayahuasca purple is the bulk of clones.
Recently topped the Apple Truffle Breath seeds. Tops are in the machine.
Two incredibly distinct phenotypes of Apple Truffle. I'm keeping the taller one as a new mom pending clone success.
There is a ph related calmag problem since I do recycle and ammend my promix. I am using foliar calmag until I nail the ph.Last edited by FurnaceBoi; 08-10-2024, 01:20 AM.

Started a new grow today alongside one I've had going now for over 3 months (left pic) from memory. These new ones (right pic) are also about 10 days from flip and have commenced flowering.
The one on the left were clones taken just under 3 weeks after flip Mr.furley .Those ridiculous looking veg growths started only a couple of days ago..finally in veg. Jeez they're ugly.
PPFD 100 to 110 20/4
EC 0.3 w/Si pH 5.8
Nute temp 22⁰C
Tent temp 23/4⁰C
My next batches of clones will all be done prior to flipping. Clones that flower then have to reveg take way too long and I'm going to lose at least one by the looks of it.
The new clones above right were taken from the four plants at the back that have just commenced flowering, pic below
And the one in the front that was flipped to 12/12 for 7 days then back to 18/6 for 7 days now back on 12/12 is powering on with the flowering..it stretched just right.
All the above 5 plants are Orange ZkittleZ x Sour Diesel Franklin
I expect the yield of this one to give me a comfortable pound.
EC 1.4/5, 25/23⁰C 58%RH pH 6.15 to 6.3, PPFD 500 to 750
It's not a very tidy grow. 5 plants with 4 of them a 9 foot x 6 foot canopy (each plant canopy x 4 of them) makes it tough. They spent a good month too long in their veg cupboards unfortunately but I should get a decent yield from them. I've done hardly any cut back, repaired a few broken stems, the under canopy is filled with dead leaves. I'm going to lose maybe 1 main cola on each of the 4 because I couldn't get them under the lights, they have fallen outside....I've yoyo'd a few up and the one closest camera has about 6 yoyos on it stopping the main colas from collapsing.
Time for me to tidy it up over the next few days.
