hermaphrodite seeds-Feminized seeds or more hermie seeds?

I have completed my first indoor grow. The most important thing I learned is that mistakes early on will compound into problems later. Everything went well until the end when the plants were too tall for the tent and the light placement. It caused them to get nutrient burn. When I harvested, I was surprised to find seeds. I set 3 up for germination and 2 have sprouted. I planted them.
Here is my question: Will seeds from a hermaphrodite plant produce feminized seeds/female plants or will they grow into hermaphrodite plants?
I have done some research and found some sites indicating this is how feminized seeds are produced and other sites that indicate they will only grow into hermaphrodite plants. Thank you GWE community!

I have herd many things as to seeds and came to the conclusion that you will never know unless you grow them. I save all my seeds and grow them and take the good with the bad. If you plant 4 and get 1 your still ahead in the grow. JMO

Professional Breeder’s seeds that come from herms are made by plants that purposefully get stressed into creating seeds. The genetics are stabilized through a system of back crossing prior to that event. With that being said, this is not how your seed came into existence. You could get a good one out of it, you could also get another herm plant. Point is you won’t know until you grow it out.
So if you have the time, space, and electricity (or spot in the sun) to spare you can give it a try. But no two seeds in that batch will be alike. The genetics are still not stabilized, so there will be that issue as well.

Hi els, I had one plant herm on me in Aug. 2017, and I believe it was due to heat stress. I harvested great bud (and most of the seeds were immature which means that most of the growth went into making buds) and learned a big lesson about heat stress and dialing in my grow environment so that doesn't happen again.

It's funny how there's this little "controversy" about what kind of seeds a hermied plant will produce; I didn't grow any of the ones off my plants because I didn't want to take the time and $ to discover what they would produce. I prolly should have...

I have flowers from a plant that hermied. Saved them to use to pollinate a diff strain. I'm going to try a auto not sure I can pull it off but that would b cool. We used this method when we crossed a chem dog to the cheery bomb outdoor strain we have here and made a nice mold resistant plant.

This summers grow is from seeds that were mistakes either hermies or pollinated I always think they are regular seeds so I never get surprised again

If you grow in a good controlled environment and not stress the plant- they will all be female plants. (assuming you started with a feminized seed)

That said: you may get different germination-flower or harvest times from the seeds.
In the past, I had one photo seed take twice as long to pop-(9days) and currently have an auto which vegged for 12 weeks, before flowering began.

I think the hermie trait is in the background of many "feminized" seeds that are sold. Maybe only a flower or 2 appear, might not even see them, but the trait is there.

All mj plants have the ability to Hermi when stressed out. Feminized or not. If there is a genetic predisposition to late blooming hermaphroditism it doesn’t matter how the seed was breed. The genetics will show no matter what you do. Best to avoid this trait all together whenever possible.

I grew a feminized seed from Reserva Privadas called Kandy Kush. It went hermi. I later learned this strain is prone to do so. I saved about 16 seeds. I've grown 3 plants from those seeds. All were female.

Reserva Privada: those ain't cheap seeds, so it sounds like you ended up with a good deal!! ;-}
