So I was down stairs working on stuff I was stoned anyways I started thinking and got very confused(thats not hard to do) if you have a seed, plant it ,take clones from that plant, grow them out take more clones, then grow one of those clones . that has the same genetics as the original seed correct, I'm trying to decide on a mother plant then confused the shit out of myself lol

Yes, you get an exact duplicate with photo period plants- which are ideal for SCROG/SOG etc- as they will likely grow the same height etc.
This is often done with clone only strains.
Auto's however would never get off the ground as they are the same age as the donor and will flower, as the mother does.
Keeping a mother plant is not difficult-but you want to clone the best plant you have, for the donor. It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

So yes, the first generation of clones will be almost an exact match. I say almost because of genetic mutation, which is always possible. The more clones you take from clones, the more genetic mutations will exist.
The mother plant will also experience genetic drift over time. Some strains happen faster than others, but eventually the mother plants need replacement also.4x4 600w HID empty for summer
3x3 400w HID with Bruce Banner and Skywalker Kush
2x2 65w Quantum Board LED with 4 mother strains
running all simultaneously for a perpetual harvests.

Its an interesting topic this one. The theory that clones degrade in some way through successions due to mutations is thin, but not at all impossible.
Clones are classified as asexual reproduction which can occur naturally through organisms that intentionally produce identicle organisms of themselves through mitosis. Or through practices such as vegetative propagation which is known as cloning for cannabis.
The thoery behind succesive cloning degradation, is through genetic mutations. Although it has been shown that several generations of mutations can have an effect on genetic variances. It is a very small effect. Some plant species can only reproduce through vegetative propogation and so have gone through many centuries of cloning. Some species have naturally cloned for millions of years (Bdelloid rotifers).
I believe the differences people see are more related to phenotype plasticity, where through environmental conditioning, changes the phenotype expressions of a certain plant.
There is also the possibility that pathological diseases can cause problems that stay with the plant through successions. This may just as likely be the cause.
One thing seems clear to though, is that successive cloning does not automatically degrade the genetics and if the original or successive genetics are well looked after, is a high possibility it will perform as well as its original mother. There are many people who have cloned the same genetics for decades and some species of plants have been carried over for centuries. Many organisms, do this naturally without third party intervention. Which is a natural process of these organisms. So its hard to believe that this is a genetic aspect, but likely more related to phenotype expression or pathological diseases.

Not a researched or proven thought on this, but I have always tried to stay with the original mother for as long as possible (Dirt grows) for my clones. The thought was that if you clone from the clones the were older with each generation and the issues with. Have no data to back it up, just my gut.

heres a thing I have been using air injectors in all my plants so I figured that was it but others in the challenge plants hermied to0 . I was thinking about it while I was looking at my Autos ,they are close but one of them cotten candy buds looked weird so I was looking at them and I squeezed one of the flowers fnn seed popped out ,Im taking her in am and I shut all the air off , What I think happened was the medium got to dry and it was to much for them and stressed them out IDKnew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds

well we are going to find out something lol, I was growing tutankhamons and they went back and forth between bloom and veg anyway I took some clones after the last time they there first set of leafs were single leafs ,after they grew out I took some clones with normal leafs the clones looked normal in every way Now the first set of clones went in bloom with the challenge plants I did not water them every day as I did with the original tuts from seeds they did not hermie .so I have another round of tuts, dgth,gc ready to go in in 3 weeks ,Im going to water them every day with air injectors running on half of them and no air in the other half, the veg and bloom are in coco and autos in dirt , If you are now saying WTF I'm not surprised lolnew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds
