I have a similar situation as far as smell sneaking out...
my portable ac pulls fresh air from outside the room and blows it back out. In theory no air from inside the room should be blown out. But if you stand outside when the ac kicks on you definitely get a whiff.
I'm thinking carbon filter with a cheapy inline fan to help the ac compensate for the additional backpressure.
alltatup are there 2 windows in your room with the grow box? One would work too...Put a fan hooked to a carbon filter exhausting out the window. Creating negative pressure, fresh air would be pulled from throughout the house forcing it through the filter. Scrubbing all air leaving. What do ya think?

is there a discharge vent on the box? if there is can you hook up and inline fan with a carbon filter on it even with the door open it should pull enough air in to keep smell from getting out

It recycles the air ...scrubbing the smell while cooling the air then return the air back into the tent or box.its the same system they use to cool lights some people are using coolers.. never tried it don't know how affective it will be but some people swear by it's success probably worth looking into considering you have nothing to lose but your time .one concern may be high humidity.

Yeah, my weed buddies are fine, but I don't want no one else smelling it!!!!!!!!! So I have to work around a couple of situations where "others" come into my house; I will have to make sure there's no odor for one afternoon every couple of weeks.
What's a bucket scrubber and cooling system? I have a grow box.

Chefbjy I have central air, ceiling fan in grow room which is on all the time (I'm doing that for the first time); fan inside the grow box is also gently circulating air. Still have a few more weeks to go in veg, and I agree with your plan. Where I live, best for me to finish in April (it can get real hot in May) and then start again in Aug-Sept.
I'm looking at the long-term weather forecast for my region, it won't start to drop into 70s-low 80s until October, so I'ma have to keep that grow box door open. I'm sure it will work well. I just want phat, dank buds.

alltatup summer grows are the worst indoors I know the battle of heat 😆. Flowering in summer sucks. I've decided that I'm taking some time off this next summer. Try to finish one crop just before late June and start again end of August. Maybe do a few autos outdoors but definitely trying to avoid the hottest parts of summer indoors. Maybe increase cfm of exhaust. Are you running an active intake?Portable ac? Good luck I'm sure you're brainstorming away on how to keep it cool.

I repeat: a grow box is a different animal. Unless the room is kept around 69-70 F, it gets freakin hot inside when the door is closed, which is why I'm leaving it open--to keep air well circulated. I'm going to have to really brainstorm to come up with an odor solution when the flowers get aromatic. come in my crib. But last spring my weed buddy came over, got to the bottom of the back porch stairs and told me, I can smell the flowers from here. The cool air was cascading down the stairs, carrying the aroma with it.
It's so much easier for me to grow in the winter, but I like a good challenge and I will figure out a way to make this work, with a little help from my friends...

Of course: I have central air. But a grow box is different from a grow room.
