Yeah, I like them to have really well developed root structure before transplant and then they really take off in a few days. It’s like part time with the much larger home. I like to water them a little the day before so the growing medium is damp but not wet. Then everything stays together, pretty much in the shape of the cup. What I’ve found that works well for me is I cut down two opposite sides of each cup, top to bottom, lay the cup sideways in my hand with one side facing down, then peal the top half off, roll it over and the cup shaped root wad is just laying in my hand which then keeps it shape as it’s eased into its new home.
