what is a good indoor strain that won't make me so sleepy?

I have gown 2 Nirvana strains (AK-48 and Snow White) and they both make me VERY, VERY sleepy. Literally 45 minutes later start getting huge yawns and eyes start closing.

What's a good strain for 1. Indoor growing 2. Low odor and 3. won't make me so damn sleepy

Hey AK, welcome to the forum. Go to Seedsman.com or Seedsupreme.com, and there's a column on the left where you can type in what you're looking for. Sounds like you want sativa-heavy hybrids as opposed to indica heavy.

Sativa's more the creative, get shit done, head high, and indica tends to be the pain-killing, relaxing, sedative, or "couch-lock" strain. And of course, get feminized seeds so you won't have to worry about males pollinating.

And read the GWE site from top to bottom 3 or 4 times. I'm kinda kidding, but it does require a degree of learning so you don't run into all the pitfalls that can befall a cannabis grower. I'd say study up the basics of how you want to grow--soil, coco or hydro--and learn how you're going to do it. Don't blindside yourself later on.

With all the hybrids out now, you can find mixtures of characteristics that will most appeal to you. Look for the sativa dominant hybrids; you'll find what you like. Finally, keep in mind that cannabis strains have different effects on different people, so what one person loves may make someone else edgy and/or paranoid. And what relaxes one may make someone else feel like they're in cement...

I can vouch for 'Euphoria' and 'Blue dream'. Euphoria being a sativa will give you that energetic, euphoric head high which alltatup mentioned. Blue dream is a hybrid I believe. Personally gives me an amazing buzz at the start, i find it hard to sit still... However tends to couch lock as the high 'wears off'. Just want to add that neither give me the munchies.

Yea blue dream here too. Very well balanced. I find the harder the hit or the more energetic it makes you feel, the more likely it will make you sleepy after. OG kush for example is a massive cerebral high, almost exhausting you afterwards requring some sleep.

You can also try to harvest a little earlier before there are too many amber trichomes. That will help produce more of a head high than a body stoned. feeling.

What do your flowers look like when you harvest? How many weeks usually? I ask because it does not matter what kind of weed you grow; if you grow weed it too far past peak ripeness it's all couch lock weed and farther still it's bunk weed to many.

I harvest when I see the first amber/brown trics....so not really that late at all. Must just be how it affects me...

🌱 Perhaps try a more Sativa-based strain that has been bred for indoors like Durban Poison? Also, I read it's recommended with Sativa strains to harvest as soon as you see mostly white trichomes, and not to wait for any ambers, if you want to get that psychedelic "soaring" high that makes Sativa strains famous. 🌱

Couldn't have said it any better. I'm about to try the New York City sour diesel haze_ which is mostly sativa. Will report on em when they're done, but just got above ground two days ago .Hope you find something that works in the way you want it too_It is kinda mind boggling when there are over 2000 strains to pick from and new ones coming out every day! Thats why I am always drawn to trying 2-3 different strains with each grow. More work but worth the effort for me.
