Watering while away

Looking for a simple and proven method to keep only ONE plant watered while on vacation for a week or two.

Small plant? Or huge tree?
i have used this system hooked up to a 3 gal bucket and an air stone with pump keeping the water fresh. Works well with smaller ones... but not great with huge trees.

It’s not actually planted yet. I’m just planning ahead. It’ll probably only be a few weeks old at the time I’m gone.

Look up blue mats I believe that’s the name organic growers use them to keep they’re soil watered without the need of hand watering

I have used this and had a friend just dump water in the outer bucket every 5-6 days, but that young of a plant you could adjust the SWICK volume and forget it.

I’ve had great success with this proven method of watering on vacation, Using empty wine bottles( any size ) first water plants next fill bottles with water or whatever and make a hole in the soil to allow bottle to stand upside down, it won’t drain till the plant needs it. I use 1 bottle per week more bottles may be added for longer periods 😉
