The Great Auto Showdown

I decided (not easy for me sometimes lol ) I have three strains of seeds I got in the mail and 6 from a hermied auto I'm going to try 2 or 3 of each strain .now I'm supposed to pick the challenge plants before I drop seeds . What if they dont pop?

Change of plans - I'll be going with Purple Stilton for thing 1 - and a mystery seed from Buddha Seeds as thing 2 - not from a bad seed but just one of those things one runs into. Namely oneself - putting germinated seed into pot with tweezers as my fingers are too big to do it - but oops little too much pressure and zing off my finger it went - somewhere - I never found it . Not the first time I've lost a seed right in front of me.

I hate that. You have the whole family crawling around the floor looking for the seed. And sometimes you just never find it. That sucks.

It's almost time for the official start. I realize some have already dropped their seeds but again they are autos so time isnt a factor. If I'm up late tonight I will start mine tonight, if not first thing in the morning.

I'm probably going to have to get rid of 5 clones somehow as I dont really want to be running 4 tents right now. To busy this time of year. They are clones of the Green Ninja but I will just reveg her after harvest and will know by then if she is worth keeping around. A few people have asked about reveging so I'll make a short post on doing it when the time comes. I love the way they grow wide and bushy when grown that way. Not to mention the yields can be very good on a revegged plant.

So I've changed my entry and decided to add a Thing#2.

Thing#1 will be Strawberry Cough, a sativa for the wife, grown in Roots Organic on top of 5lbs of Kind Soil in a 5 gallon fabric pot.

Thing#2 will be Orange Cookies, an indica dominant hybrid for me, grown in Sohum Soil in a 5 gallon fabric pot.

Both will be under 4x26w 6500k cfls for the first 2-3 weeks then moved under the 315w 4200k CMH for the remainder of their short life.

I plan on only slight defoliation for both. I've never grown a plant without training of some sort so it will be a new experience for me!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!

May the fattest plant win.

oldjarhead100 Cook it? No. I use a small amount. To give a idea, my box is 12X22X8-1/2 and there’s like 2 tablespoons of bloodmeal mixed into the whole thing. I use the same amounts of bone meal. Along with using worm castings it makes for a lot of nitrogen. While growing I use a lot of fish emulsion also. I’ve never burned a plant in my life, knock on wood...lol

Been so busy w the ladies (the ones w vaginas) that I spaced the date....lol. I just dropped my blue chees in water this morning and as soon as it drops she’ll be in the towel. Looks like I’ll be starting tomorrow. They say smoking pot causes............uhhhhh......I forgot🤔

Okay so I’ll probably be starting a little later than most but I’m definitely in! I have 4x Sweet Tooth Auto Fems from n420g. Just waiting on them to arrive. So hopefully sometime this coming week. I’ll just be using 400w HID mh/hps, FFHF, FF Nute Trio, all in a 2x2x4 tent. Also in 5 gal smart pot. Probably just going to grow one but not sure. And will be using NebulaHaze feeding schedule from her auto grow. It was coco and GH trio but I’m sure it’ll work just as well. I’ll tweak if necessary.

i wanna wish everyone luck and to have a great grow, i personally cannot join this fun competition, i dont have autos, but most importantly i dont have space, i have my growcloset full with 4 plants currently flowering, two outdoor plants flowering too, 3 moms i have to keep veggin and 10 clones rooting, basically i managed to set up a perpetual grow and on top of all that im switching to coco as plants get harvested and new clones take their place. thank you Redwasp for including me, ill sure be lurking around cheering and learning from all the great growers here

It's all good 9fingerleafs Autos can be alot of fun to grow and the yields can surprise you if you ever change your mind about them. I really like my photos but I like my autos too. I certainly understand having no space. For me its electricity I always run out of though. I have plenty of space.
