I'm gonna try the clips next time around. I bent one of my plants over a bit too late_ it was so short to start and with nodes so close together I didn't do anything for about three weeks. It developed a big "ring" of growth on the stalk just where it was bent the most. Must have been a reaction to reduced fluid flow? Made the stalk thicker than I've ever seen on a plant only two feet tall. From the pics it looks like you are placing the clips between each node....is that to channel more fluid into the branches above and below so they grow out faster, slowing down the growth of the main stem_ keeping the canopy as even as possible?

To be honest I don`t yet know...I have tried previously using safety pins on stems further up however there was no difference between restricted and not....the cloths peg, I`ve been told, is meant to be attached at the base after you have scraped off the top layer off the surface and it is then absorbed by the plant...seems a lot of effort to me and risking on-going infections....so, clips are put around radiating branches and main stem to see if it forces the plant to push the liquid through and by doing that, get stockier in the process, a bit like blood pushing through your arm if you have a BP monitor on. It is meant to make more buds/ roots due to the stress but all I`m looking at myself is to increase stockiness of stems...stockier stems, heavier buds.....personally, I haven`t seen any positive results after 3 rounds of growing but I keep exploring but I`m not optimistic of big game changing results based on observations so far....

I keep the buds roughly the same height to ensure Auxin distribution is evenly shared....I mean no disrespect to anyone`s preferences but to me one central big cola with several smaller satellite colas lower down seems wasteful, harder to light, harder to control height and less fun...nodes very close together wouldn`t bother me, in fact that is a major aim of mine via extreme defoliation, LST, light and air circulation. Also, I like low plants, much easier to control and get to in my tent....good chat

Thanks. good info to consider next time round. I like to keep my canopy as even as possible too but haven't had as much success as you seem have using just LST. I have to top them at least once to get enough of a spread_ so gonna try your LST technique for sure.
