Started New Grow.

Kingfish! Good to have one of the "oldtimers" back! Ain't it funny how after growing a while your definition of "running low" changes!! 😉

There was a time when a quarter was low. Now I'm down to 5 jars which have to last 'till October. I'm freaking out. LOL

Thought I'll keep you up to date on how my girls are doing. They just popped and as soon as the Cotyledons open all the way, they will go into the Peat pots.
The 3 in front are Acapulco Gold and the 3 in back are Amnesia Kush.

So here are my little girls, about 6 days old. I'm kind of concerned about the one in front. She never developed a tap root. Just started growing roots out of the side of my starter plug. We'll see what happens.
About the big pots. I always fill my pots with the dirt I'll be using a week or so before I stick my plants in them. I'll dust them with diatomaceous earth to kill all the little microscopic lavae that got disturbed when I filled the pots. This is especially useful when you grow in summer and in dirt. My biggest concern is Thrips and Spider Mites. (The Borg) So far, everything is good. As shit happens, I'll keep you informed.

I was going to show you my 1 week old girls but for some reason I can't seem to upload my pics. I'll try again later.

Here are my girls 1 week from seed. I'm waiting for the roots to grow out of the peat pots then I bury them in the big pots. The reason I do it this way is because I have tendency to overwater them if I put them directly in the big pots. As you know, if you overwater seedlings everything slows to a crawl. I won't give them any nutes for another 2-3 weeks.

Ain't that the truth! My last couple of grows have been autos and I didn't want to transplant so I started them in 5 gal fabric pots. Over watered the shit out of the first auto grow!!

Puravida, if you put them in peat pots, you don't have to worry about transplanting. Just bury the peat pot. The roots grow right through them.
