Special "titles" for users, what do you think?

I have not seen anyone on this site give a grower information that they didn't think was good advice. I have seen that 'well meaning' advice be dead wrong. It is difficult to sort it out. Perhaps this will help.
 
One thing I really love is how some growers like you are putting information about their grows in their signature! I think that's one of the best indicators on grower skill! If someone has harvested 3 DWC grows, that's a lot more relevant to someone growing in DWC than someone who's an expert in soil, and vice versa.
 
in the upper right corner. Go to User setting, then click on Account. Scroll down to Edit Signature. From there you can figure it out.
 
OK..that done however:
I think that signature grow data would be more effective under the avitar and then put the Join Date , posts, Thumb color in the signature space.
Another note: I would like to know who "liked" my post(s). Is that available and I cant find it or just a PITA tor tech?

Hi Nebula, you could start a sticky telling people to put a link to there journal in there signature. This would allow people to find there journal if they want to. This forum is going to grow to a massive size and I'm proud to be here some what early. Congratulations Nebula!!!
 
I would like to see how many subscribers there are for each thread.....lots of lurkers ...I would like to know how many are on board.....I would like to know who subscribed as well....
 
I'm so glad you brought this issue up, because I have something else I have to suggest: Over the past month, I have seen quite a few posts by beginners who are overwhelmed by issues they don't know how to solve. It stresses them out a lot.

Sometimes the thread kind of digresses into other issues and the newbie doesn't really get clear, direct responses to the problems s/he is confronting. Would there be any possibility of having a special section on the forum called HELP!!! or some such thing? It could be devoted specifically to PROBLEMS people are having, and allow newbies to get the help they need asap. I don't like to see these issues get lost in the crowd as the forum grows...and grows...and grows...

RE: Titles: I like the idea of this forum being a great democracy among us all--masters and mistresses of The Grow, in-betweeners and newbies. Not so crazy about the idea of a popularity contest based on how many likes you get... Likes should be spontaneous.

I'm quite happy with my red bars, which indicate that I have put time and energy into the forum.
 
I suggest the following titles:
Green Goddess
Green Giant
Green Light
Green-Eyed Monster
Green Thumbless (for those missing a thumb)

i commented on this thread on something green said above about how to represent experience. i'm putting it here cuz it's an important consideration andi don't want it buried down in the comments. thanks.
