Rooting Gel

Aloe Vera gel. Cut a leaf off fillet it dip your clone in the gel. Insert into rock wool water from the bottom with hydrated kelp meal and your done. Or just plain water.
 
Spit, honey, many things work well, me I use nothing (water and air bubbles). I tried clonex, was not happy with it, I have used rootone it worked. Whatever I used took the same 10 days average to grow roots, 'cept the clonex failed others have used it and it worked for them.
 
i use the powder too because its cheaper, i think gel would be easier but its too expensive. in comparison i got enough cloning powder for the next decade for 10 bucks.
 
Or you can have an aloe Vera plant growing outside for life. It can be used for cloning gel also to water the plants once a week it has NPK, micronutrients and will build up your plants SAR. Beats any gel or powder if you ask me with all those added bennies.
 
root hormone is controversial it works. Propergat best when propagating or plastic bag thing
 
used to use aloe when i clones in water cups, nowadays i clone straight into coco. you gave me the best idea ever, i can create my own cloning gel adding a bit of cloning powder to aloe and take advantage of both :)
 
9fingerleafs that is a great idea, just keep in mind Aloe is best used fresh so I would suggest making just enough for what you need. That’s the good thing about having the plant at home you can cut fresh fillet any time.
 
yes, thank you very much. i do have a plant growing in the yard. im going to try it out this weekend and report back
