Removing selective leaves

Should I be trimming back those fan leaves that are about halfway down the main bud too better expose what's below? I have other buds that look similar.

Will be heading into 2 round of defoliation soon and I admit to being anxious about it. My head says to be more aggressive this time. I have no problem with removing fan leaves that are shading bud sites, small growths that won't amount to anything, or purple stems. No problem in creating air space within plant either. After that...my intestinal fortitude wanes a bit. However rather than continuously defoliating esp in mid bloom I'd rather shock the plant once than friequently mini shocking. A grower I admire lollipops/ defoliates early and doesn't defoliate in flower when buds appear.
How near to harvest are you insomniaczzz?

Wow that COLA looks awesome! I've read and watched videos that said don't take it off, one in particular was from Jorge Cervantes. There's so much conflicting info out there. One thing I saw that sticks with me is this. It's a weed, you can't hardly hurt it. Well, we know too many nutes can hurt it like weed killer, but look how the plant gets a long when we LST it!

I pluck every day. Usually a few, sometimes a handful. If the light can't penetrate the canopy, what's the point?

She sure is a beauty. All our buds look like the crystal fairies had a part in there Here she is after her haircut. She looks butchered. Please remember this is my first time doing this. On two of our 5 plants, the trichs are really turning milking. Won't be too much longer. But I have a lot more buds to trim up. Should I let these cut leaves to dry? Guess what I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Now shouldn't those buds continue to fatten up and kind of 'swallow' the smaller leaves?

I can't remember Insom. Do you grow in soil? If so now would be a good time to give them a dose of Molasses.

I am growing in soil and I have given them molasses once a week for two weeks now. Next week will be third time and maybe last. We are definitely harvesting one plant next week, so no more nutes, just plain water till then.

Here is the plant that has the most amber pistils and trichomes turning milky. Now please remember, that I did no training on my plants, so no nice level field of buds all the same height. That will be next time! Sorry for cloudy spot on some of my photos. There is a spec of something inside lens of camera. I have to go get it cleaned.

Is hard to tell with the purple hue.

I know there is only one dull light in our garage, mounted up on the ceiling. Trying to get good pictures in there is really hard. The close ups with the flash turn out good, but the shots further away just don't show well.
