Removing selective leaves

I hear you, like trying to take pics under HPS you have to take it out of the tent or everything looks orange.
 
Green, all fan leaves during flower? Are sugar leaves enough to sustain plant? First time defoliating and I've done it 5 times already. Now that buds are developing it is really crowded but everything I have read says experienced growers only... Don't want to screw up now as I only grow one plant at a time.
