Organic Grow-Barneys Farm; Red Diesel & Peyote Critical Kush

D.A.A.S.69 We had flooding at the beginning of the growing season. It took out half of our early crops due to the water sitting in the fields for so long. But since then we have been really dry. I cant even remember the last time it rained. We even put in a lake and irrigation ditches in the one farm due to the lack of water. My brother in law has been working that farm this year so we will see how that goes. All and all it's been a pretty decent year as far as farming goes. Just lots of time watering everything.

That sounds like something the wife would like PaganRich. She loves the strains that take you out of your normal day to day "mind." Of course she also loves Gorilla Glue as it lays you on the bed, holds you down, and you wake up the next day.

We do go through alot of iced grapefruit lately during the day. It is really good at getting rid of headaches, stomachaches, and just not feeling good in general. Honestly lately we have gone through alot more of that than everything else combined but I cant say it's my favorite because if we feel good we never pick it. Mentioning that, when someone is really sick to their stomach we go to Girl Scout Cookies. I've not found a stomach ailment that GSC cant help, not to mention that the flavor is one of the best.

Anyways, the strains you are growing have me Interested as you have grown them multiple times. Cheers mate

Looking good bud! You hear about the 3 old ladies and the flasher?..Three ladies on a bench, a man in a trench coat comes running by, gives 'em a nice show. Two of them had a stroke, the third's arms were too short. 🤘😅

Well, it`s defol time and then Flipped. Height of lasses from soil roughly 16-17". So, here we go:
Red Diesel Pics 1-2 before and 3-4 afterwards
Peyote Crit is looking slightly sad but she had been thirsty before and I gave her a tidy over drink for now but I had also bought a new fan and she`s been growing well each day but I hadn`t appreciated the effects the air flow has had as she was really close so she`s looking a little bedraggled but fan raised and she`s been moved elsewhere so she`ll bounce back...saying that she`ll probably be dead by tomorrow.....anyway, Flipped...that was bloody awful grammar above-sorry about that-standards are falling evidently

After first 12/12 night they have handled the defol very nicely...I will ease up on nutes in compost tea for a week then bring back up to normal depending on how the next few days go but everything looks fine so pretty pleased overall

alltatup Unlike my good self Atu...I fear I may have old man creeping syndrome...I`m currently good for a mile an hour at a stable pace...where does it lead to Atu, where? I tell you...nowhere fast that`s for sure...I think I may be a bit maudlin today-not been right lately

Just a brief update
Pic 1 is Peyote Critical-another one is growing taller though this lass is healthy and I`m very pleased with her and currently 12" above the lollypop/ frame line. I really want to get a feel for the light penetration for these vipars so 12-18" above frame is my desired grow/ bud range at present
Pic 2 is Red Diesel (In the middle)-she`s lovely
Pic 3 is a combo of Reds and Peyote and so far so good
The recommended height for these vipars are 24" above canopy but they are handling 21" okay and will let them go to 20" before I think about adjusting. Only problem is the town I live in is swamped with flies and it`s mild so it`s a tad awkward temp wise at the moment but hanging in nicey around 26-28C

PaganRich Just think, if you’re coming downward with a broadsword strike and he turns, it would strike right down on the cod piece. Fuck all that would hurt!

Daytime or nighttime?

I bought a bag of seed, was looking at the effects, but was aware you had given the strain a thumbs up 😁

They are in the vault (ok, mylar envelope in the dairy compartment of the refrigerator, behind the shortening 😁)

Somebody showed Mrs Lurking the list of seeds, and she has decided we are focusing on sativas, for their effects (who knows what will fall into water next - bwahahahacoughcoughcough)

Glad to see you getting your hands wet, as much as the smoke helps, the growing eases my mind

subbed

wishing you (and yours) green thoughts

LurkingInTheGrass Both mate, it`s got a kick but it`s not as strong as GG4 from what I can make out...it`s a lovely smoke, mellow but uplifting and makes me chuckle. Very good overall for headspace and nice buzz...it`s not weak by any means but allows you to function daytime and nice end of day, feet up jobby as well. Also, quick finisher and grower friendly, fair wack of side branches and the buds are tight and dense...of all the strains, this by far is the one I would grow if I could only grow one...headspace issues? Very, very helpful. Anyone would think I`m on a commission :D Likewise mate I hope you an your mrs are mellow and well :)

This isn`t the 2 girls shown above but 2 from the same strain. Both had been robustly defoliating 2 weeks ago and in that time started to develop budlets and got swamped in big fan leaves throughout. Decided to bring their 3 week defol up sooner and robustly defoliated-sorry, the picture isn`t that great but you get the idea-and they are now roughly 19" above frame with no budlets showing before 17" so I reckon my LED`s are good for a foot and a half solid light penetration but since this is my first grow with them I`m just hazarding a working guess. Anyway, these are taller than I wanted as 12-15" above frame was my target to see how the lights worked. PC on left, Red D on right. Probably talking absolute chack about light penetration but we`ll see how it shapes up. Going to defol the 2 girls from this blog on Friday and will include better pics
Added: Took another pic to show defol via a better angle

PaganRich Morning mate.
Nice looking plants, they should fill in nicely, if not you could lower your Vipars, a bit more.
I try to keep my Vipars 8-12inches during hard flowering, it seems to help. But I wouldn't move it much lower than you've got it now, until they get over the defoliating, you gave them, and start stacking,
Cheers, Mate.
I sure hate to hear about GingerBaker, a real Wildman on the skins.
