Obi-Wan’s Malibu Pie Grow

As the Jedi OG slowly march towards their inevitable fate with Order 66 it’s time to meet the new crew of seedlings that will be taking their place in my 2x4 tent.

We have 12 regular Malibu Pie seedlings of Ocean Grown Seeds. They’re starting their life in my 2x2x3 mother tent under a 4000k QB65 light. They’re in coco and will be fed drain to waste until they are transplanted to their final 1 gallon fabric pots and placed in the flood and drain table.

Nice. I used to watch Herbin Farmer on YouTube. That strain always looked really good. Hope to see some updates on your grow I’m sure it will be a good one.

Malibu Pie hmmm sounds like a fun grow, I sure hope you get at least 6 fems. Good luck and looking forward to seeing all the progress ;)

I’m hoping for at least 3-6 fems out of this bunch. Hopefully the terpenes live up to its name.

Never cared much for Vader, Anakin was like a brother to me though....😂😂 In all seriousness I do miss Vader’s weekly videos. You can catch him on Grow Tube but sometimes it’s painful to sit through. Vader is great at condensing 2+ hours of daily maintenance into 8-10 minutes of informative and sometimes humorous video.

Yah I cannot watch those round tables. The videos are always top notch quality. The music. The voice over. The step by step explanations. The breeding info. I’m just sad it will never be the same. I don’t expect him to be a YouTube slave forever but I do miss the golden era of YouTube growing and the whole gang

Yup, I remember an AMA when he was asked “How do I get your job?” His response was “Put in the work.” Today’s video’s aren’t the same, they all lack creative effort. I used to love when he did Fader, funny content!!!

The phrase in the beginning was what stayed with me “I was always looking for he best quality. if you want things done right. You have to do them yourself”

Day 25 for the Malibu Pie, I lost 2 seedlings and then decided to trade with a buddy that had just sprouted Dark Plasma from the same breeder. I gave him 5 Malibu Pie for 5 Dark Plasma. The Dark Plasma 10 days old. I transplanted everything into 1 gallon fabric pots and fired up the flood table. The table is set to flood once a day for now with an EC of 1.4, pH is 6.0. I have the light set at 150 watts and 36”.

Looking good Obi-Wan it's been a long while since i've seen a flood & drain grow. Great trade i dig those transactions.

7 days later and almost everyone has taken well to their transplants and new home in the flood table. I have 1 Dark Plasma seedling that’s struggling to take off but it won’t be getting any special treatment.

10 days later, I’ve culled the runt Dark Plasma. I figure it’ll be another 4 weeks before I can get clones from the Dark Plasma so another 39-40 days before I flip this round.

6 days later, the Malibu Pie have all been topped but the Dark Plasma are starting to hit their stride. If they keep this up I’ll get clones in a week or so.

They look great. I’m jealous. I lost 20 plants this past couple of weeks. Freaking mold attacked the main branches where they meet the coco. I’m thinking he heat caused too much humidity. Anyway take care of your genetics ;)

6 days later and I’m now flooding the tray 4 times daily, every 6 hours. I suspect that the 2 smaller Malibu Pie in the back right of the tent are males. I’ll be taking my clones next week, I’ll take 2 clones from all 9 plants and flip to a 12/12 light schedule.
