Obi-Wan’s Cherry Dawg Grow

These ladies have ripened rapidly over the last 7 days and we’re at 80/20 cloudy clear on Thursday of last week. I switched the reservoir to flush and they have continued to ripen. This morning I see about 98% cloudy with a sprinkle of amber so I am starting the harvest today. Photos below are plant #1 grown under the GalaxyHydro 300w

Both plants are hanging on the drying rack. I’ll be doing the actual trimming as the day goes on. My impression of the plants is that the buds on plant #1 are more dense and that the density is present further down the cola in comparison to plant #2. Plant #1 maintained its bud density up to 12” down the cola, whereas plant #2 only maintained its density 8” down the cola.

Both plants are trimmed and set for drying. Trimming is by far my least favorite part of growing and as such I simply don’t have the patience to finely manicure my buds with the same attention that others here do. I start by pulling all the fan leaves and larger sugar leaves, then I basically trim to the bud surface. If I flush, dry, and cure properly it will smoke just as smooth. Now on to cleaning the dwc system and tent so I can get my Aurora Indica clones setup in their new home!!!

The harvest was weighed and put in jars this morning. Overall I’m very pleased with the harvest considering the fairly low draw of the lights I used. I ended up with a fair amount of bud that I deemed to be too small to trim so I made dry ice hash with it.

Total weight of harvest: 252.4 grams
Total weight of quality bud(pictured in jars): 196 grams
Total weight of small untrimmed bud : 56.4 grams yielding 10.52 grams dry ice hash(pictured in baggie)
