Obi-Wan’s Cherry Dawg Grow

Obi-Wan

New member
Grow was started on December 21st from clones. This is a GalaxyHydro 300w/Viparspectra 300w side by side grow. Plant on the left is growing under the GalaxyHydro and the plant on the right is under the Viparspectra. They are in a 3 bucket, 9 gallon RDWC system. Clones from the same mother, shared nutrients and environment, only variable is the lights.

Thanks for doing the side by side. I'm looking at my next light purchase. I've tipped away from an LEC and decided on a 600 watt LED, and ViparSpectra is on my short list. I also still love my GalaxyHydro, first grow light.

Hey DK, if you want hard, sticky nugs, I would tip back toward the 315lec, I don't have a 600watt led, to compare with but my Ghydro 300 did fine.on everything even pretty dense, nugs, but they don't even come close to what my 315cmh is doing.
They are awesome lights for what they are,
I'd say my 300watt led comes close to a 150watt hps, cause I got a 150watt hps.
My 315cmh comes way closer to a 600hps than a 400hps. I might be wrong ,but I bet if I am wrong, it's not bad wrong.
You can't go wrong with a 315lec, you will be glad you got one.
But good luck with whatever you get.

Aaaaaand... the indecisive monkey is back.

Dude, you make it sound so worth dealing with the added difficulty of climate control that I have thus far spared myself by stciking with LEDs.

Of course, as much as I like to keep it easy, I also was fat, sticky, stinky. At least I have the time element of having to save up for whichever.

Transition week- ladies are doing well, fully recovered from their defoliation. Should see pistils in the next 7 days.

Weekly update: They’ve been on a 12/12 lightschelue for 14 days now and the pistils are starting to show on all bud sites so I will call today day 1 of flower. This strain has a 60-70 day flowering period and I will be taking them at least 70 days.

Flower week 2, day 8. Plants are coming along nicely, flowers are stacked evenly down the colas and are building symmetrically as well. Being day 21 since the switch to 12/12, today was their final defoliation. I will only be removing damaged leaves from here on out.

Flower week 3: Day 15. Bud sites are plentiful and growing by the day. With the exception of the obvious difference in the appearance of the lights, I have seen no noticeable difference in the way the plants are growing under them to this point.

Starting flower week 6: I’m very happy with how this grow is progressing at this point. Normally I’m looking at them at this point and dreading the trim, but it looks as though they will be fairly easy to trim.

Really pretty! They look to be tight buds-yes? Hope you post your trimming😊🤗😊

DingusKhan, Yup I can't even brush my hands against them without getting covered in resin.

D.A.A.S.69, one week at a time till the ladies say when.

Tika, Buds are fairly tight at this point but plenty of room for improvement before it's all said and done. I"ll have to make sure I post some picks on trim day.

Starting week 7 of flower, nothing much has changed. 3-4 weeks left just watching and waiting. Sharing some pictures taken under more natural lighting this week.

Week 8 of flower. Things are finishing up nicely, this will be their last week of nutrients. Trichomes are about 40/60 cloudy/clear and my preference is 95% cloudy/5% amber so the next 10-14 days I wait and watch......
