Impressive! I_H, what is the material used for the root barrier? I like the thermal reflective covering, I do that on my reservoirs as well as wrapping the tank portion with bubble wrap for more thermal insulation. Do You intend to pump out the water to change the nutrients, or is there a drain that is not shown? I like the 'tie down' grid, I installed small screw eyes in the lids of my reservoirs and I'm always needing more!

Love the Frankenstein totes. I take it that's food grade stainless steel mesh. Nice touch. Here's a pic of my recent tote mod. Use a car ☀️ visor some duct tape and reflective tape. Its made it real easy to regulate res temps. Reduced 4*-6*.

i used 3 layers of vinyl screen. probly wont do the job, originally wanted to use fine stainless mesh but didnt want to wait for special order stuff like that. if this fails i will refit with the fine mesh next time.
i use an electric transfer pump. the amounts of solution i move make any other method bs for sure. 35 gals for FrankenGrow I, and 24 gals for the FrankenGrow II pair.
i tried to take everything i didnt like about the first res and hopefully fixed it. wont be the last redesign, lol. i love designing and building equipment tho. tbis hobby does it all for me.
thanks for the compliments!

I should have said temperature swing. With the 400w the res would swing up 4-6 now it doesn't. Highest temperature I've had was 72* since wrapping it it's pretty steady at 68-70. I hope next grow to upgrade to something similar to yours.

Keep us posted on how they work out.
Design, like time and evolution, go on for ever! Keep on improving!

POKEDSMOT, You can lower the temperature another 4 - 6 degrees by using ice bottles. I keep my reservoirs from 64 to 70 degrees by using the .7 L bottles, this time of year I only need one or two a day. I change them out when the temperature reaches 69 degrees.

4 out of 4 sprouts are up!
humidity mid 40s, temps high 70s. took these seeds a couple days longer to poke out thier heads than the peppermint kush 1st grow even tho they were twice the size! and so far no weaklings! im happy.
im putting a rollup vinyl curtain over the veg table. help hold humidity better and one more light barrier between veg and bloom areas.
thanks for lookin.

hi furry. I ran the first 2 weeks of 12/12 with metal halide to hopefully help my plants NOT outgrow my screen. again. lol. trick I found on the website to help control stretch.
I switched to the hps on Wednesday I think.

I dont think the peppermint kush is a real stretchy strain anyway, but the nodes on all my mains stayed real tight. the only thing that really really grew was all the small stuff in the middle that suddenly got all the light in the world when I put the screen in there.
btw furry, this here thread is for the kosher kush grow not the peppermint. but hey, sharing info is cool anywhere in MY grow room, lol.

finished week 1 from seed.
i gotta say im impressed with this grow already. germination went very smoothly, roots touched water yesterday for 2 of em.
i did sprout under nutes this time, after reading and youtube searching this strain. supposed to be very hungry plants, lol. so gh trio 1/4 strength plus rapid start.
staying the same on nutes this first res change, i want to see all plants with roots in the water before i bump it up. still a little on the cautious side.
got the rollup curtain mounted this weekend. rh ranging mid 40 to lower/mid 50. sweet.
thanks for stoppin by.
