New to the forum with dumbish questions.

Cool to see that GWE has started a forum and I'm happy to join in.

I have some stupid newbie to the forum type questions.

First dumb question- where is the forum, or the link to it ? If I go to the main GWE site, where I've often gone to look at the great tutorials, I can't seem to find the forum. The way I first found it was by googling 'GWE forum' or something. I actually had no idea there even was a GWE forum- it was just a long shot cause I was getting a bit desperate trying to find one to join that I liked.

Second-is this the sort of forum where a person could keep an ongoing grow journal about (mostly) their grow, with photos, sporadic updates of progress/lack of progress, disasters, experiments, and the occasional bit of personal craziness and blather?

If not that's ok I'm still glad to be here

If so- in what area of the forum would I put it? Or is everything lumped into one area? I don't see an area for journals, and I haven't spotted any signatures below people's names with links to their journals.

WELCOME WEASEL!!! You came to the right place!! Lots of members keep grow journals: just start a thread or "new topic." And remember, Weasel, that on this forum, there are no "stupid newbie" questions: we are all here to assist each other and to share our doubts and our successes. As far as the "occasional bit of personal craziness and blather" goes, I've never seen so much personal craziness and blather as I see on this forum!!!! You're gonna love it!!

I think I've seen the link to the forum somewhere on GWE, but I don't remember where, but you found it so stick around!!!

from the home page of the main site - about 1 page scroll down on the right side theres a box "ask questions" - this links to the forum
2 yep lots of folks keep a journal and update regularly - seems to be a great way to get comments and answers to questions you didn't know you needed to ask :)

Thanks guys, that's great cause I've got lots. But I'll fumble my way around for a while first and see if I can shorten the list a bit.

Yes the forum is used as a general head forum where everything is being posted without categories besides guides from the GWE team!Not everyone will put their journal on their signature but if you search "grow" "auto grow" "journal" you will find many nice diaries from peole that do their very first grow till people that are perfecting the art of shaping their girls and over yielding ;)


It seems you know about forums in general so you can start asking questions such as this or post your personal journal for a grow or two that you are currently doing,the updates are up to the grower,others will post photos of each day and environment specs like myself,others will post a weekly update when defoliating,topping or something interesting is going on!Im a total newb so excitement is peaking all the time and thus im posting constantly about my babies!
 
Great detailed response Nartak. And LOL...you're another loving growe here that loves to show their "baby" pictures! 😊

First thing it doesn't matter this is your first grow here. Newbie doesn't matter. We all love to grow and for me helping is a payback I wanted to give Nebula because she gave me so much!

We all learn from reading this forum so start a new topic call it something easy for you like Weasley growing LOL and just post on that page for your journal.

Just remember things never work out 100% the first grow so do the least plants and make it the k.i.s.s method (keep it simple sexy) and after that you'll love it and can go crazy!

Thanks! you guys are sweet. No I'm not really new to growing. I've been at it for quite a few years. Running the same perpetual grow for the last five or so. About ten strains or so, growing in sunshine mix. A bit of drain-to-waste hydro and hempy on the side.
Just new to the forum, so kind of stumbling around figuring out how to make things work. I couldn't seem to get a whole pic into my avatar properly. Little things like that. I see now that forums are surprisingly confusing for the first time. I'll sort it out. Thanks for the warm welcome!
 
Don't be a stranger your valuable information is always needed. And the same grow with Coco? maybe you need a new grow style we have it! LOL
 
This forum is an a- typical experience both technically and socially. The second makes up for the first. Nebula is interested in technical feedback though. And welcome
 
I've done a series of grows of small DTW plants under an autowatering system. Mostly in perlite. Some coco. My last one in that part of the grow was all hempy which currently seems to be failing, due to root rot I think. Next run will be coco.
