Capncanna Well at least we have our priorities straight! I'm beginning to fear the month of October in the dirty south: last year we had hurricane Matthew and the year before, horrific rains and flooding that washed out parts of Columbia! Schools were closed for most of the week. I looked at generators after Matthew. You got a smart wife!! ;-}

Man I must find more time to update regularly. I also need to gather my "mistakes/observations" and come up with a plan for next grow. I know I went wrong in the nute schedule and should have been feeding each plant according to its individual stage as opposed to what actual week I'm on and I also should have extended my week 8 bloom feed for the ones that needed it.
I was not at all expecting such a variation in the grow times but lesson learned 😉
Since the last update we've harvested NL 2 and just last night NL1. Still burping jars but the CC1 jars are only going to be burped once or twice a week now. They're curing fantastically!!!!
the heat here has been ridiculous, tent got above 27c yesterday so we had to turn on the central air. One of my late bloomin WW's is showing some bronze looking patches on leaves... haven't nailed it down but she's prob another week or so from harvest, thinking it's PH issues...haven't been testing runoff lately... my bad
hope all is well with the GWE fam, I best get some work done seeing as I'm in the office right now haha

Thanks hon!! She was sparse but really tight dense heavy nugs. I feel like I've learned so much and so little at the same time if that makes sense.
Forgot to put up some more dry weights but numbers are at home in journal... will do that tonite looks like rain coming so I'll get some relief from heat and time indoors ðŸ‘

Well took the afrernoon off , checked journal and dry weight for CC3 was 58.5g and NL2 was 39.3g. NL2 was a weird girl. She was one of the ones with huge spaces between bud sites but the ones that did grow were beautiful I'm excited to see how she'll taste! Slightly disappointed with the overall yields so far but I keep reminding myself this is only the first grow.... patience grasshopper.... which I never have had in any large quantity 😂
So now I'm making some notes in lessons learned and things to change/remember for next grow. I also want to grab some terpinator and look at other options for additives/enhancers... research time! Hoping journals like Tikas will give me some insight... such good documentation!!!
Hubby is torn between upgrading lights or getting a whole new package like our original one as they each cost the same... we also decided to get in a vacation before starting new grow, we don't have anyone we trust to plant-sit and I'm a bit of a control freak so I'd have to watch via webcam the whole time hahahaha
started cleaning the pots and medium from the "done" ones, I've decided hubby needs to build me a contraption that I can hang the pots from and rinse to my hearts content. Debated taking them outside but didn't want to accidentally bring in any bugs so have been doing all medium related work in bathtub... i need a bigger bathroom hahahhaa
speaking of bugs. Over the last two weeks I've found two of the same little and I mean little black dark brownish beetles in two diff plants. They were just hanging out on leaves one was dead. They didn't appear to be eating anything and haven't seen anymore so I assumed they are normal every day beetles that got thru bedroom screen or on is after being outside... keep watching tho.... if u coulda saw me using the microscope to look at one it was effin hilarious. Was totally grossed out by the blown up bug I was seeing and didn't want to look but knew I had to get a good look .... damn creepy crawlers

Things are moving along.... always something to water something to burp something to harvest and something to jar hahaha it's like a new event every night!
Im certainly glad all nine plants weren't ready at the exact time!!!!

harvested CC2 ... this one took us almost three hours to harvest and trim.... longest one yet and OH MY F'N GWD did she stink like nothing I've ever encountered. Like I mean she smelled great in tent but when we started harvesting and jostling buds this overpowering knock you on your damn ass smell was slapping me in the face. I actually got dizzy had a headache and my eyes stung!!! WTF!?!?
hoping that means she'll be some strong shit 🤞🼠She also took up both of my homemade bud drying lines
WW 2 and 3 are getting close but one I think might have some PH issues she's close tho and doesn't seem too bad other than maybe stunting her buds a bit. They are way taller than any of the other girls and having to prop up branches. Yay for heavy buds!!!!

Awesome grow momma bear! Totally jealous! I'm just under a month in on mine. This is your first grow? You did a great job!
I'm doing dwc, but also started using Coco for another plant. I hope to get even half the numbers you got for weight. My plants in DWC have been affected by root rot continuously, so they aren't as awesome as they could be. That's why I started my next one in Coco, seems a lot more simple.

Thanks mcubed!! This is my first grow yea, but I only started after much reading and taking notes etc etc
I chose coco simply because of the ease and wanted to avoid some common issues that dwc and soil have.
You will do fantastically simply because you are among the best here (NOT ME lol). There is so much knowledge in this forum and the GWE family is awesome!!

One day off a week at the moment, then the mrs always wants to go out and do stuff on my only day off. Might have a couple of weeks down time in August between finishing harvesting and starting planting again. We're processing and sending out about 150-200k strawberry plants per day at the moment.
No inspection yet, possibly about 4 weeks away hopefully. I've got so much bud I don't need to do another grow this year but I'm still going to. Gotta use some seeds up.

Sounds like ur definitely busy enough. A grow now would be exhausting!!! Keep on gettin those berries out and be happy the mrs wants to do things with u even if it's running errands means she's still crazy bout ya 🙂👠hubby hates to grocery shop (his anxiety in public is way worse than mine) but he comes with me anyway 💜

It seems to me that using a weekly schedule as opposed to one customised to the stage of the actual plants can't give the best results. I have two White Widows that popped on the same day. One is clearly about a week behind the other.
Also, I've abandoned the idea of using just water for the first 7 to 10 days. If you're using one of the supersoils, that might be fine. But, we're in a pretty inert medium. As I type this, I have two pots sitting on my kitchen counter that I have precharged with seedling grade nutes. Just waiting on the seeds to finish soaking.
I have a two week old Blue Mystic that I not only fed from the getgo, but that I skipped the 'general vegetative' level nutes altogether and went straight to 'aggressive vegetative' level. I was a little cautious about how much I applied at first. But, it looks pretty darn healthy to me.
