Molasses or honey?

I have used molasses since I first started growing so I can't really say how much improvement it makes. I like an all natural Blackstrap, unsulfer molasses I get at the co-op. Read early on that blackstrap molasses has more good stuff for the soil microbes but what you have should be fine.

I do the same as my 70 yr old mom and use sugar. Figure she was growing mass since the 60's and had ppl coming from 5 hrs away for her smooth smoke...she knew what she was doing. I have to say that it still works to this day. I've heard of ppl using molasses and honey, but if it ain't broke...don't fix it...lmao. I guess it really doesn't matter what you use your gonna get the same result. I use sugar in the raw.
 
Rough up the ground, sprinkle it around, and water or wait for rain if outdoors. No real measurement...lol
 
I grow in coco, and never use any sugar. I have no microbes to feed, and plants make sugar, they don't eat it. It's like feeding milk to a cow.
 
You can use Honey if you want. They have the same NPK ratio as Molasses. (1 0 5). The plants absorb molasses into their roots faster then honey. Also I think molasses is a bit cheaper then honey.
 
I agree. Soil growers do benefit by feeding the microbes when the plant stops feeding them. That is why I specified coco.
 
I use unsulphured mollass only in bloom too feed microbes in the soil then as they die off that's what the roots use. And it makes them buds sweet and big a half tea spoon per gallon once every other watering intill week 7 of bloom then stop works great for me
