Miracle Grow no? Always?

I been reading up a lot on growing Marijuana and I seen a lot of people saying no to Miracle grow. I'm not sure if the version I am using is what everyone is against, but is this version possibly ok? Been growing for a month now. Within the first week and a half of my plants growing, they started looking sick, and from the charts I looked up, they didn't have enough nutrients. I looked up the two growth cycles, one for vegetative and one for flowing. Most products I saw were for flowering and not many with the requiring stats were listed for the first stage. That's when I found a liquid form of Miracle grow, with the stats 12-4-8. I started using this and within a week the plants were no longer sick, leaves stopped dying, and all is fine. I don't plant using this for the flowering stage, I already have fox farm products, but I wanted to make sure if what I am using is ok. My first grow was in MiracleGro's Nature's Care Organics line. It wasn't the best, but it worked like any other organic setup might.

However, I find Roots Organics Dry Nutrients and Original or Formula 707 medium to be the best I have used by far.
 
No Nono..no. Wrong nutrients. Plants will grow in it but NO Miricle grow. And don't use their perlite either because it has other nutrients in it. Not cannabis user friendly either soil or perlite.
 
What Tika said. It also has timed release nutes which will screw up your feeding schedule as well.
 
I have always heard absolutely NO to Miracle-Gro, but you say your plants are thriving..........so I don't know. I do think you should flush well and switch to the Fox Farm Trio that you have already bought, since this comes highly recommended.

When I transfer into 3 gallon pots, I'll flush a few days before transfer. Problem with all the fox farms products I got, they all cater to the budding stage. Every container either states "0" or "2" when it comes to Nitrogen. The liquid Miracle grow I'm using seems fairly new. It dates back to June of 2015. Says to use every week, I been using it for the second time in 3 weeks. Also heavily watered down. Called for 1/2 teaspoon per gallon, so I did 1/4 and on top of that I fill a solo cup 1/4 way with the food mixture, then fill the rest up with distilled water to water it down even more then use 1/4 cup per plant in solo cup. Only one plant had burn but I would contribute that to the measuring spoon falling into the cup while caring for the plants. Isn't time released refer to solid miracle grow, not liquid? I know they have a bad rep for past products. Heck, I wont even go near Hartz products ever since it killed my wife's cat. Sorry, little off topic. Also, half my plants are autos, Big bud, Mango, and the info reads 2 to 4 weeks so rushing to make sure the plants get big enough before budding. Also, thanks everyone for your feedback.
 
Ive used the 24-8-16 mg on my plants in veg for the last 6 yrs with no ill effects. 1/2 strength or less the 1st few feedings just to nudge em a bit. but as we all kno its gonna b strain dependant. just gotta b careful. ur babies will let u kno if they need the extra boost
 
I've seen Jorge Cervantes saying they're only not as "available" as most of the cannabis focused products. Weed grows exceptionally fast. Miracle grow its designed to fertilize gardens and pots that will last for years
 
Fully indoctrinated to prefer Roots Organics. I have used a few other things (Dr. Earth, FoxFarm, Nature's Care in the beginning.) Organics-wise, I strongly suggest going the route of Roots Organics, using their Dry Nutrients system. Even the pothos plants I added OregonismXL (kelp, alfalfa, myco, trichoderma, and rhizobacillus) to experimentally has the biggest leaves I have ever seen on a pothos plant. Same with my San Pedro Cacti, and even my Kratom cutting.

This is the version of Miracle grow I have been using. My plants are thriving with it. It calls for every two weeks, but I actually been doing it every week at 1/4 the requirement. For example, two gallon sprayer I put not only 1/4 teaspoon, I also put 4 capfuls of peroxide. Anything more, or using it more than once a week the plants show small signs of nute burn. I am also keeping watch on my newer 1 gallon pots because I started using peat in the mix to hold in moisture. The heating mats cause the water to dry up fast. I'm considering disabling them, or most of them once the rest of the seedlings are old enough to be potted. The lights and mats combined are keeping the temperature in the tent at an average of 82 degrees. Once temperature hits 82, the mats shut off till temperature hits 74 degrees. Also, been running the lights full 24 hours. Half the plants are autos. So debating on how long to keep the lights going all day. My most important plant is my one GSC that's feminized.

I'd say you don't have to keep your space quite that warm; you may be using more energy than you need to to keep your girls happy. Right now in winter, my room stays at 70 during lights on, and the plants and roots are thriving. BUT: we all have different set ups...
 
Speaking from zero actual experience with the stuff, I think the bottled MG nutes are pretty much standard generic bottom of the barrel chemical nutes. I mean- they contain the same basic macronutrients as other fertilizers and there's no reason you can't grow pot with it. It might be missing some micronutrients (?), which you'd have to make up for by buying a supplement or two.
It's the MG potting soil with time-release nutrients in it that really seems to fry cannabis plants.

But why sell your soul, your health, and your plants short, and grow your herb with shitty bottom of the barrel chemical nutes, produced using the cheapest and most environmentally destructive methods possible, by a truly awful company which mass produces herbicides and pesticides, has been convicted multiple times in US courts of mislabelling carcinogenic and poisonous products, seems to have no regard for human or animal life, and is owned by one of the most blantantly evil corporations on this long suffering planet?

Not to mention what Monsanto has done to farmers in Columbia. If you haven't seen it, "Plan Colombia: Cashing in on the Drug War Failure" is a must!!!
 
For you growers that downloaded my books. The one titled "Marijuana Buds for less". The entire grow was in Miracle Grow. He got 8 ozs. from 1 plant.
