Update: She's about halfway through 8 weeks of flower. She's taken every fan leaf and then some. I wonder if I should have left more on. The harvest window is opening. The trichomes are mostly cloudy with some clear and no amber.

Nice finish coming there. At this point fan leaves are not required. I would clean off anything dead or about to be. Less work when you trim them up. Well done.

Update: Today was harvest day. Wet trim. She wasn't as sparkly as I had hoped but the buds are dense and resiny and not larfy, even the small ones. I really liked this method of growing and am surprised at how uncomplicated it is. I chopped the smallest buds first. I made the cut right below where the lowest flower would be on that particular stem. I know I left some stems on that could have come off during a defoliation. I took pics to give me a guide for the next grow. Included is a pic with those stems still attached and another with them removed. The dry tent is set at 70 F and 45-50% RH.

Thank you. I was referring to the manifold method. It looked and sounded complicated when I first read about it a few years ago. I was too intimidated to try it. I used Nebula's method after seeing a recent post on the forum.

I’ve been reading up on that technique here and I’m definitely intimidated. I think i need to find some vids of it being done, the cutting etc, i learn better with visuals. I also want to try scrog but equally intimidated with the whole process

Start with scrog first I reckon, then you will get a feel for how much bending, training and defoliation they can take. I intimidated by a manifold as well, would need to have a lot of surplus buds before I attempt it.

That's me. I thought the manifold would be difficult and death to the plant if I messed up. If you can top your plants you can manifold. I've only done this once and am by no means an expert but I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy it really is. Nebula's directions are easy to follow. Go for it.

Just do it. Get an extra plant and do what you want to it with out concern. See how it turns out. They are weeds they can take it.

I found this site too late -
Did not manifold AND had nutrient lockout (PH issues).
This winter I will do all this for my first hydro grow (with fast autoflower 55-60 day seeds).

Plants look great !!!

its easy to be brave when u have the extra plants, i topped and fimmed ( on accident) a few autos and all lived even though it. most ppl. say not 2 do it but i did have backup

Cannabis is tough , They can look sick - but so hard to kill.
I chopped mine unprofessionally - nothing ever died.
I am just concerned that manifolding or other trainings will slow a fast autoflower down to where you get reduced bud.
