I challenge you to a duel!

What if there's catastrophic failure of the cup? Like if cracks bust the cup open? Will transplants be allowed due to cup breakage? As similar as possible to the original. No trimming of root ball.

Count me in. I've got my cups and everything, but I can't decide which strains to try.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to try out of this assortment?

Roots must stay contained in your cup. You can poke holes in your cup for airflow but roots can not grow into another container/medium .
small cup-BIG FUN!

Mr.furley I just wanted to run this setup by you for a judgement call before I start putting everything together.

50/50 Coco/perlite mix hand fed for the first couple weeks.
I will then place the solo cup on top of a continuous feed reservoir fitted with a net pot and hydroton for drainage back into the reservoir. I plan to setup a mini trellis that I will suspend the solo cup from leaving a clear air gap between the bottom of the solo cup and the hydroton. I also plan to trim away any roots that try to make their way out of the bottom of the cup.

Would you consider this setup to be within the “Spirit” of the contest?

I wouldn’t say that. I’ve never done it before and there are so many things that could go wrong!!!

There is a party concept at my place happening around the Duel. We are going to count down to germination @ Midnight. Can we start at midnight in the time zone where we are and be within the rules?

:straight-face:

He actually gave a time zone. To be honest I dont think 24 hours one way or the other would give an advantage. But within the rules make it 24 hours or less after his time zone and you will be fine. If someone can win by 24 hours that would be a miracle.

My dude, you’ve given this one some thought! I keep putting it off, I’m so damn busy. Need to start thinking tho.
