Choosing the parents? (Other than healthy) why am I choosing mom (dad) over moms sister
Pheno hunting? What am I looking for?

I know I can make bag seed, havent done it on purpose yet 😁
but understanding how to make a solid strain.

Going to run autos for the cup challenge. On the advice of a friend ordered from Mephisto Genetics. Excited to try their products.

Wouldn't it be fun to chat with these guys about selective breeding among many others.

Ok Lady's and Gentleman time to bump this thread up again and see if we can get some more Growers on board.

Do you have your cup? Got a strain picked out? Are you taking a test run? The days are counting down to the 01/01/2020 start time and I'm getting excited about the Solo Cup Grow Off.
Think I got me a winning cup picked out, official size for the grow off is 18 Oz. Or less "party cup", to recap some of the questions you may grow a seed or clone both to be treated in the same fashion, cutting=germination. you can grow as many as you like but may only enter one of the plant in The final Judging Thread starting on April 1st.

Note to Self.

Party cups are extremely Flammable when making holes. LOL
 
I had a picture of the cup I caught on fire but have some how deleted it so you will have to use your imagination of Mr.Furley playing Firefighter.
 
I am still in. There will be no prep or testing. Think I can fill a 4x2? Lol Hmm trying to save money so will only run 200 watts no vents but with good airflow. Sorry I think the nightcap of zombie fuck kicked in.
 
Here's the thing about that. My city council got together and said they would forget everything if I promised not to set anymore fires. The fire department was a little upset by that decision.

Got lots to choose from!, I just have to decide what to grow. Ordered some seeds a couple of weeks ago, they got the order wrong, so they corrected it, and sent me 4 extra seeds as well:D My next grow will be all autos, im thinking 8 different strains all at once!

Damn Mr. Furley! Dont burn your house down accidentally! I cant say much as i almost burned my house down the first time i made iso hash...FYI dont use a gas stove to evaporate alcohol...i have a portable electric hot plate now cause i'm big brain.

You say "18oz or less" so my 16 oz is fine, other than the obvious disadvantage of a smaller cup? I can go buy the 18oz but it seems like just a waste as i already have 3 sleeves of the 16oz
 
Tersky your 16oz is just fine, over the last month I have been peeping all the solo cups out around town, in different stores and for the majority they were 18 Oz. I had found 16oz, 9oz,4oz, 2oz as well but they weren't as common and figure it is fair to put a cap on the size at 18oz.

Besides the fact that I have now freebased a solo cup(not recommended) I only burned a quarter size hole in a cap I had just finished drilling about 80 holes in.
 
I'll figure it out that day. About noon probably.

Anyone thought about cutting long strips out of the cup leaving just enough cup for it to still be called a cup and lining it with women's hose? It would be like a cloth pot. I think it would work. May need to block light to the roots but that's easy. Put it in a cup cozy. Lol
 
billyboy I hadnt seen your post until after I posted basically the same idea above. I think women's hose may work better than cheese cloth but I could be sadly mistaken. Gingerbeard I brought that up in my other post. I jokingly said to put it in a cup cozy. But that was a joke. But you probably should block light to the roots. But that's an easy fix.
 
That’s what I’m doing. Have a total of 9 girls and 7 strains going currently. It’s fun!
 
Never thought about it LurkingInTheGrass. Might be that lava-lamp looking shit the aliens gave me. Bubbling before I even put it in my crystal banger. It was either that or the probe. I thought I made the right choice but they probed me anyway. It's all good.
 
All you need to hole up your cup is a pair of redneck vise grips, a nail (not a screw), a torch, and another torch for when the first torch runs out of butane. Did mine on my front patio while watching the sunset. Only negative was when I kept putting the hot torch down on my crotch. I don't know if I've learned a lesson from that.
