How important do you rate your blue lab ph pen? I use strips which are "eyeball" readings and figure any fluctuations, within desired parameters, is okay, even desired by some. Is the juice worth the squeeze of a $75 pen?? Getting low on my FF trio nutes so if I'm gonna make the switch to coco I might as well change nutrients too. I can get Flora trio locally but coco will have to be online. I'll find out where my friend gets his. I usually top my photos and have had to defoliate them multiple times. Topped my last autos once and dying leaves took care of defoliating for me! 😞 I prefer the way photos grow vs autos. As always, thanks for your inspiration and support!

I haven’t been able to post shit BUT, ..as is your ilk😜 I just recalibrated my blue lab today and ABSOLUTELY FIRM on it as in jump for joy. In the beginning I used the drops...that was total color bullshit..give it a few minutes thought...colored nutrients mixed don’t come up accurate as in color mixing. Red and green make a tertiary brown. Period. I am as passionate about blue lab as I am the rest. Saved my ass. It’s 80 something and then there is the 4 and 7 solutions plus storage solution. . I’m not techie and even I can calibrate. If you Skype I can walk you through calibrating with joy in my heart.
I have found that once understanding my tap water pH, and then finding my nutrient mix pH - for me pH down- is the same each time. I don’t need to use the pen each time. But today I decided to check my package and I AM good and you piped in.

I always read about people having a hard time reading the drops. Guess I have been lucky. I gave a cheap pen a try and had problems so o just stuck to the drops and problem solved. If you think about it people been growing way before the blue pen or any other pen. I just feel a pen is just another thing to deal with when my good ol GH drops do the job just fine.
