GWE & Mental Health

DW2 Thanks mate for your supportive words. Appreciated. I am posting, got a couple of grow posts on the go at the moment, very low key and a nail-biting, cliff hanger of a competition grow going on between me and D.A.A.S.69 The tension is fever pitch on this site. Ain`t that right Daas :D The Southern States versus the West of England. No pressure there then :) Got 42 Commando on standby to hit his grow with extreme prejudice :) Back in the late 80`s I was with this lass whose dad was recently ex Royal Navy (We had one, just, back then:D ). He served civilian security at 42 Commando`s base which isn`t the one on the internet and prob best not say where thinking about it. Anyway, drove up, Commando on gate, gun hanging down across chest. We don`t do guns here. Don`t mind our military armed but no one else, not even the law but we have some now. Not popular. So, that impressed me. So this girl`s dad`s job is just general perimeter monitoring. Remember the IRA lads were very active still though not as bad as the early 80`s. No ID, no clearance...in I went, great fun. Stayed for a bit while he did whatever he did then off to the pub. That`s me and 42 Commando and our only experience together :) (You don`t mess with 42 Commando, you`ve got to be good to get into that ). Used to work as a paper pusher for the Royal Engineers in `82 at this Garrison near Heathrow. Anyway, I`m in this dingy office by myself and I`m informed by this Major that we had been identified from intelligence as one of three locations the IRA were going to hit. Well, I wasn`t happy. Outside my office window, which was ground floor was a high wall with barbed wire and on the other side a great big fuckin petrol station, right. So, they then says, don`t worry, we`ll put up bomb blast curtains. Well, to my horror, they only hung these strips of fabric down the panes of glass. A snowball in hell would`ve been more effective. Luckily for me and Her Majesty`s crumbling military, they decided to not bother :D ( See alltatup you`re talking to men who have lived on the edge even if it is only via paper :) )

Oh no you didnt just call out the South. Wait till our little competition. This a a slap in the face with a white glove right here. The winner has to fly to the others country to strut around a bit. But you have good beer and we have good food so either way we both win.

Oh and not sure about everyone else but yes the winner always buys. Maybe just my family but that is just the way we do it.

Redwasp We don`t use a white glove. We`re old school. We use a hammered steel gauntlet....not many teeth left in your gob afterwards but it conveys a sense of tradition. That`s important to acknowledge these things. We have the best beer in the world. I `ve lately been drinking Ruby Porter as well as Milk Stout though my favourite at the moment is Doombar or a very decent IPA :D (Not chilled, lads, room temperature-seriously)

Well in the south we want all your teeth in place for the fight. We are nice in our ways. We wont come after you if you dont show up if you so choose. Just don't expect to show your face again. Lmao Anyways I say all this in jest. For those who dont understand the friendly smack talk. Is that to American? Not sure. Anyways dont mess with the South, we are a proud bunch. Maybe its the heat but we are proud, friendly, talkative, and love a good fight.

I am mentally ill dude and I think your words are brilliant.....im glad I clicked in, as usually I avoid your threads after a comment you left on a post of mine, it was a long time ago and I deleted the post, please don't ask me to remember specifics haha.....anyways dude great post and well said:)

Redwasp That made me chuckle. Aren`t you guys double rebels though. Rebel independencers from the Crown and then the civil war. You lot are born rebels :) Am I allowed to say that? What`s okay here might not be so cool over there. Oh if anyone asks you who you prefer given the choice, a cavalier or roundhead, don`t thump them. Roundhead means Parliamentarian supporter in one of our civil wars. It is an infortunate name but refers to the helmets worn by them. We`ve had 3 so far, I think not counting the Jacobite Rebellions which don`t really count as a civil war as such

We fight for freedom. Not what most people think we fought for. Im not proud of the civil war. I could never kill a brother especially over another mans right to be free and do what he wants. I love all people. But glad we kicked your butts. Lmao

And yes the civil war is a sore subject here. Ill stand behind any man who isnt treated right. Dont care who or what they are. Ill fight till my dying breath to make sure all are safe, free, and happy.

Redwasp Do you know mate I don`t know much about the War of Independence really. Even Napoleon doesn`t do it much for me. Now 600AD til the 1500`s is my fave time and WW1. Reading some of the Norse sagas at the moment and a book on the Viking Great Heathen Army`s invasion of 865AD I think. American history, I`m mega patchy on except your Pacific war. Watch a lot of programmes on that. That wasn`t much fun. Anyway, off to bed, night mate, Catch you tomorrow :)

Vapo, everyone's "mentally ill"; I think the question is, does one inflict harm on other people? If the answer is no, then one is a hell of a lot saner than the harmful folks...

On to a lighter subject, a woman gets on a bus and asked the driver if he liked peanuts? His said yes and the lady handed him a handful after about ten minutes she handed him a second handful he asked her why she dident eat them herself? She told the driver she didn’t have any teeth but loved to suck off the chocolate 😖👎

I`m sorry Vapo69 for any offence I caused mate. Not a deliberate intention but I must admit that unless you know me, the way I can come across can be erratic and not always conveyed in the best of ways. Getting better though. And there are times when I just get it wrong, so again, sorry :)

Actually most americans are not that rebellious. The lower strata of the population at least 50% are docile, and in bondage much like the British working class. It is the upper class who are politically dynamic, and far too active on the world stage. Imperial Britain and imperial america are not that different. Empires rise and fall, and america is just another failed empire waiting to happen. My current read Overthrow by Stephen Kinzer is a comprehensive listing of the governments the US has overthrown from 1893 to 2006 the publication date of the book. Kinzer really needs to update the book since far more governments have been added to the list since then. Another book I am currently reading is Fire In The Minds of Men by James H. Billington. I have noted that "rebellion" is allowed only to a certain degree.

Just another mental defective adding his sick and twisted thoughts.

starramus Changing the topic slightly. Check this out. Being experimented/ thought about with here and in Sweden I believe. Interesting concept and I like the premise, especially in this era of greater use of robotics and less need for humans. alltatup You might find the concept interesting from a social/ political point of view
