These pictures are all of the same plant, but they are to address two different problems.

1) this is the Jedi OG that was the first to be transplanted on March 30 into a 3 gallon container. It was extremely healthy when I transplanted it and it was reaching for the sky looking really happy the morning I was inspected. Since then I lowered the light and then raise it back up again and lowered the plant because brown edges appeared on one of those larger van leaves. Now on the sister leave on the other side of the node the edges are curling Up add in I think you call it cupping but the edges are crinkly. That will be the first picture.

2) Perhaps a week ago I FIM’d all four plants. This same plant with the cupping leaves is the one that the FIM did not work and perhaps it became a top. The new growth is weird I’m not sure what’s happening. The new trainingit hasn’t grown very much only a fraction since I trained the plant. On a node below the FIM is also showing new growth on a different node. I’m not sure what to do because of the angle it’s hard to see I have included several pictures please take a look everyone and give me your opinion as too what I should do as far as developing this particular reaction to the FIM.

I transplanted this one a on March 30th and the others on the 3rd after I took them out of the closet dark for three Hours. I also lowered the lights at that time. They didn’t shoaw any burn at all, nutrient or otherwise, until the next morning on two out of the four plants. I had just lollipop’d them too so maybe they were a little stressed from the transplant, lollipop, and besides moving the light the air temperature and humidity changed somewhat. From the lower 80s with 65% humidity to mid 70s and a 50% humidity. Since after I moved them they have not shown anymore damage to the leaves. Also besides transplanting them into better soil than I started with all I have been feeding them is straight water.

Since I don't do soil I can't advise. I do t think the brief dark period didn't hurt anything at all.
Straight water is pHed? For soil = what? I know soil is different which is one reason I don't do soil. Too hard to Figure pH ( for my dim bulb). What is your feeding schedule? For your soil?

According to the Fiming tutorial, it will cause the initial new growth to be kinda weird at first. The cupping looks a lot like a bit to much heat. I think you mentioned the T-5 being really close for a while? I have caused light burn on mine before when they grew to pretty much touching the bulb, I wonder if it burned the leaf, and caused some cupping? Just a couple thoughts I had, not saying that's definitely it though.

Soil PH range is 6-7, if you have a good microbe hurd, with plenty of organic matter, it should adjust the PH for you in soil, definitely can't hurt to check it just to make sure though!

It really looks like it’s heavy on the n the leaves look extremely dark green and mine cupped a little up when it got heavy on the n

Tika unfortunately I don’t do pH at all, I don’t have the pH meter even. I have been flying without instruments since the beginning of the grow. I began on a very tight budget and bought everything seconds hand or I improvised DIY.
I am supposedly able to just use straight water and I use the knuckle deep method to decide when they need watering which I do mostly once a day in the 3 gallon pot with about 16 oz of aged tap water that I keep in a barrel. That amount just gives me a smidgen of run off. Other than what is in the soil I mulch feed the worms once a week with a changing variety of mint, cilantro, malted barley powder, oats, and farina with a top dress that keeps the top of the soil damp underneath it but works as an IPM too. During the day every 6 hours I moisten the soil surface with a spray bottle. Additionally I soak and wring out towels and make a tent around my wine bar incubator to keep the humidity hi during these dry winter months with centralized heat constantly running. If I didn’t keep the window open the ambient temperature would be in the high 80s with very dry air. Besides the towels I keep a five gallon pot on the stove simmering low my fan is close by dispersing the vapor throughout the Grow room. I know it’s all very unorthodox but it has a certain rhythm that has worked well so far.

Deadhead91 since all of the plants are in the same soil mix with no change since the beginning of the grow other than the addition of worms and worm castings I can’t understand how it could be nute burn. However this is the only plant out of the four that is this dark green. About possible wind burn that won’t be a problem for a week or so now my fan stopped working lol

This is what seems most likely to me heat and being too close to the light. Like I said after the transplant when I initially lowered the light and remove the crates the plants all four of them looked spectacular well perky and pointed upward or at least horizontal spread. Now this plant is not drooping but it isn’t elevated at all either. So right now since I’m not in a hurry to flip all the plants are six or 7 inches from the T fives where as before they were 2 inches. Maybe a little patience and time will help the plants adjust to the change in environment. I think I’m going to go to 18/6 light schedule starting tonight with 4 hours of darkness.

Paracelsus the one plant could have had just a little to hot soil if it doesn't get worse you should be ok so I built the vortec tea maker everything went well and I wanted to try it out but alas I ran into a problem I couldn't overcome . yes that grey thing on top is the air stone LOL I laughed like hell when I saw it WHO Knew so its off to hydro store today lol

If the leaves were really pointed up a lot during the light being close, that could have been an early sign of too much light as well, they can point almost straight up if they are getting to much light.
I think your right about giving them some patience and time next, plants do need a good amount of just doing there thing as well, as growers, we always want to be DOING things to help them, so hard to just be patient sometimes, at least for me, Lol!

Wonder if they need another transplant soon though,?!? Needing water everyday is pretty frequent for plants in soil, especially if your keeping the humidity up.

Took a note from Jorge yesterday, and side dressed my vedged plants yesterday with some manure, seemed to LOVE it, also watering with worm tea now, might try to quit using the Botanicare now. Had really good super soil in my beds, but was pretty depleted from the last grow, time to give my soil some lovin'!

Thanks for your considerate response, you are so right. So I top dressed some fresh soil and worm compost mix around 12 noon I went to my Community garden and work till around four. Just before I left I pulled some watercress parsley cilantro washed it took off the roots chopped it up and lathat on top as mulch, a green much as IPM on all four plants.
We must be doing something lol. I upped the water this morning. Good reaction then I dressed it with a good inch of soil/worm compost

I think the worst leaf ate itself.

Damn look at you, that is so cool. Did you glue the pieces together though is that red or brown stuff to attach the parts together? I will I’m not sure

Last pictures are looking quite happy. So what is the idea behind the green mulch? Is it just replenishing organic matter, and feeding your soil and beneficials? Seems like it could be a really great tool during summer, when I need to cool off my garden and shade the soil.

Exactly and the green mulch turns to brown mulch, cilantro and mint are good IPM in foler and as a mulch plus any mulch helps keep the top of the plant damp which is very important in living soil for microbial life, Frank like it too, keeps him out of the light when he has the munchies.

I did glue it all together but the brown pipe is from my Garden outside I ran out of new pipe so I grabbed one of my solar light stands the cleaner was purple and the glue blue and that shit dont come off I used turpentine and borax figured the borax is like 80 grit sand paper lol

when the top dressing breaks down it doesn't get hot does it ? IPM ??? it took me forever to figure out what IDK meant lol
