hey guys, hope you all doing alright. ive just switched to 12 12, i hear that plants need total darkness during flowering stage,
ive made a grow box myself. but there might be very tiny holes on my grow box so very very little amount light may leak into my grow space. will that cause a problem ?
growing in soil. four 40 watt cfls. and its only a single plant

Try adding some ducting outside the intake and exhaust ports and put a bend in them. Light doesn't go around corners. Any light during dark period will probably cause hermi, a real bummer to see seeds. Even the little led lights on power strips can wreck your grow from what I've read. Don't take the chance, IMO.

Absolutely NO LIGHT CAN PENETRATE THE GROW AREA DURING FLOWERING NONE I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. I have had same problem before and ended up with very good but very seedy buds. Do whatever you have to do to eliminate the light black duct tape anything, I have a small heater that has a little red led light on it, I covered it with a piece of blk tape little red light on my power strip did the same to it with tape I have a closet grow covered cracks arou d the door with black duct tape, not attractive but does the job and I'm the only one who see it anyhow. MY port hole for EXHAUST system pulling fresh air into the grow area is in shadow, also a good idea to replace regular light bulb in the grow ROOM that your grow area is in with a green bulb. Green light is ok in the Flowering Stage from what I've read and from my own experience. Hope you get everything taken care of good luck and have a great grow.

Yes. I accidentally left an overhead light on once. It was no where near the grow tent. Enough light hit a plant to make it hermie. Not a happy ending. That light came through in a crack the size of a pencil hole. Watch that light.

yeah, thanks, i have only one plant. and its my first grow. if it turns out to be hermie . it will produce both seed and bud ?

Yes. If its your only plant you can let it keep growing. Will have seeds but will be fine. Never leave a hermie with other females. Unless you like seeds.
